I figured I would post this here because many of you know me and I consider this my other home.

My name is Kristen and I am a VSGer! I work at a 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital. I am a vet tech, pharmacy tech, certified petloss/bereavment counselor, and charity founder. Hopefully, I will be attending vet school within the next year (fingers crossed).

As an extension of my commitment to our beloved 4 legged friends, on Saturday May 14th my boxer mix Smokey and I will be walking for the AWA of NJ at the Paws and Feet dogwalk which is a charity event.

I would walk with you but I'm in St. Louis...I love your dogs though! I have a French Mastiff (turner and hooch dog) and a shih tzu...they are princesses!

Thanks for the reply! Only the boxer is mine, the other 2 are my friends' rescues. My next dog is going to be a Dogue de Bordeaux, a french mastiff!! I love them! We have one that comes to the clinic. Her name is FlowerPot and she is so feminine LOL.

I have an Italian Mastiff (Neapolitan Mastiff). I took her in as an unwanted orphan. I have grown to love her drool and all. She is also ultra-feminine. Her name is Cupcake.

I don't follow Harry Potter myself....old lady here. The Neapolitan mastiff is the same breed as Fang from the Harry Potter.

awww I love FlowerPot....mine is Ruby aka Big Red...Ruby is also my birthstone so it just fit. Ruby is SO not femenine...she's a tom-boy princess. She rolls in mud, duck poop, dead animals--you name it...she's playing in it. She steals pillows and blankets (from my bed), steals toys from other neighborhood dogs, steals shoes to sleep on, steals tools that have a wodden or rubber handle (she likes to chew the handle off) snores, farts in her sleep, sleeps with her tongue sticking out about 1.5 inches, drools at the slightest *THOUGHT* of a treat...but I love love love her. The shih tzu is the exact opposite...doesn't get her feet wet, doesn't roll in ANYTHING...God forbid her white coat gets dirty. She also sits like a human on the couch..ya know like butt in the seat and arms on the arm rest. She gets bows in her hair when she gets groomed and will prance around like she knows she just got a hair cut....shes very human like. It scares me sometimes...

I have two beagles and would love to go!! I live in Michigan though. Good luck, I hope you guys raise a ton of money!! I love being involved in animal rescue events.
