Depressed over this stall.........
You know what, you are right. LOL, I had to do medi-fast shakes post-op and i am still traumatized from that taste!!!! My nutritionist told me to stop drinking the Isopure protein water that i was trying to force down (nasty, nasty, nas-T!!! LOL) and to only use one scoop of powder if I was doing a protein shake (I do the mango whey from GNC - very yummy with 1/2 almond milk and 1/2 water). She told me that my protein should mainly be coming from my food now....not the supplements....so that might have made the difference too.
You and I are in the same boat....so your not alone!! I had my surgery 2/25 ......I lost 18 lbs. during weeks 1 and 2....starting from week 3 until now week 4 (12 days ) I have not lost a single pound!! I started thinking the same things.....is this not going to work for me etc...... I am trying sooooo hard to stay positive and read the posts of others, but you cant help but get depressed! I was real low caloric wise too and increased my food intake....unfortunately that didnt help. Will try some other things this week and see if I get any where with it!! I just wanted to post to you so you didn't feel like you were the only one.... Best of luck!!! xoxox
post to all who have posted.
Had surgery on 3/1 so its been 4 weeks tomorrow. I have lost 20lbs in the 1st 3 weeks but nothing this last week and I even went to the gym 5 days for 1hr of cardio. meeting with a trainer tomorrow. I am getting in my protein with drinks and meat. I'm not stressing yet, but another week of this and I probally will be. I think we need to stay off the scale as its not the only measure. I'm sure our big loss is right around the corner. My dietician only worries about protein and carbs. I am getting 70 to 100 grams daily but mostly with suppliment at this point, but trying to cut down on that. I think we think we are going to fail, but my case is different cause I had revision frokeep m band to sleeve so this journey is going on 1 year and a half with WLS. I am staying focused and hope to drop some weight by the summer to ride those rides. So we'll see. Be encouraged and keep trucking to the gym. Borntobthin I was a gym rat before also. Like you exercise has never been my problem. Just the food.I am in good cardiovascular shape even being overweight. So get the food right and the weight has too come off. Keep us posted on your journey and I will do the same
