Make sure you tell Dr. Roslin what's going on. Sorry you are having trouble with his office - but he is an amazing surgeon and it will be worth it.

Well - at least the surgeon's office staff doesn't have to be in the operating room! As long as you have faith in the surgeon, don't cancel.  Beleive me though, that incompetent office staff won't forget to bill you!

Keep your chin up sisterbigbone, you are almost there.

My opinion, it comes down to trust. Clearly most of the support staff in your surgeons office are idiots. How is your surgeon? Do you trust him/her? If your surgeon is an accomplished and successful Dr, I would proceed to treat everyone else in that office like they have treated you, like **** but don't deprive yourself of the surgery because of a few morons. On the other hand, if there are questions in your head that your doc is cut from the same cloth as all those idiots and you aren't 100% comfortable with him, I'd personally get my file, and find a new doc. you wouldn't cancel your surgery completely, just with him, and delay it with a new doc who treats you like a valued and respected patient.

best of luck to you!

WOW! I also am a nurse for the hospital who did my surgery. If any of that had happened to me, I would make sure someone hears about it. My hospital is very customer satisfaction oriented and we HEAR about what people say about us. PLEASE contact someone after this is all over and relay your experience. They need to tighten up that ship. Right now, just focus on the prize and get through the surgery. You will have some down time to form what you need to tell them later. Plus you would have a full experience to share with them. Add the positives too.
That being said...good luck to you and here's positive vibes that every step here on out is a smooth one. Keep us posted,
Linda B

Sometimes it takes being on the other side to see how where you work affects others! I do customer service in my office...and just one complaint..........can snowball...........

Hey, at least you are jumping over all these roadblocks...By all means, do not cancel surgery after you have gone through all this!!!!!  Take all this frustration, pack it in a suitcase(imaginary) and toss it into the Hudson River!!!!.........

Move forward and join the losing team!!! See you on the other side!!!!  Good Luck and God Bless you!

Wow, that is stress. If I were you I would calm down kill them with kindness and after your surgery when you are feeling strong enough just file a complaint. All patient's should get class A service nothing less not matter what the business. I will be praying for you. The thing for you to do is say a prayer and let it go for now. Sometimes we don't always get the respect we know we deserve. Don't get discouraged now you have come to far..............You are doing this for you not them get your surgery you have worked to hard not to have it. Don't punish yourself. Deal with them later.

That sounds like a similar experience I had with my previous bariatric program, who was also my employer at the time!  They never had their **** straight and the coordinator always got my info wrong from insurance to what surgery I want.

I know it sucks but would you consider going elsewhere?
