OMG! All I want to do lately is eat!!
I don't know what the deal is lately, but all I want to do is eat! I just don't feel full as long as I used to. Can't say that I am "hungry" but I just keep gravitating toward food! Atleast sleevie keeps the amounts contained! Anybody else have this and overcome it? Geesh, I go from not wanting to eat at all to wanting to eat all the stinkin time!
i don't know why this happens or why it happens to some but not others. only thing i can suggest is to make sure you are getting your protein requirements and to even up them. every time you want to munch , have some protein. might help settle down those munchies. my surgeon also says that raw broccoli and stuff like that between meals has a way of causing a full signal to be triggered in your digestive track and helps reduce hunger feelings. Don't know if its true but worth a shot. diane
Just out of curiosity, are you PMSing? Maybe having excess stomach acid? Last month I had a bout with acid but, on top of that, I was PMSing and I felt like I could eat us out of house and home. It passed when the PMS passed and lasted for longer than it took for me to get the acid back under control.
I'm a coffee drinker and my favorite post-op way to drink coffee is to have 1/2 mug of Silk Light Vanilla Soy Milk (70 calories, 6 grams of protein) with 1/2 mug of coffee (Trader Joe's Organic Breakfast Blend is my fave). It's soothing, sweet, fills me up and feels like a treat. I have, on average, two a day. If I'm out and about and want a treat, I get a Tall Starbuck's Soy Latte (130 calories, 7 or 8 grams of protein, and it's made with full-fat vanilla soy milk).
For me, the secret to staying on the straight-and-narrow is to find new versions of comfort food, so I feel safe and nurtured. My soy coffee is one of those things. So, I'd suggest trying to find something WLS-friendly that DOES you, you know?

I get that bottomless pit thing sometimes, and it seems to be related to a few things (sometimes combination):
- increased acid (if I forget my PPI)
- PMS
- Stress/boredom that is more severe than usual
I make up a big batch of chicken salad with greek yogurt dressing and lots of cucumber chunks that fills me up without too many calories so if I eat too much I don't do too much damage. Also check out Elina's profile for some meals you can make that are very low in calories so you can eat a lot without too much trouble. Also are you eating higher carbs lately? That will make it worse too.

I'm struggling with this today as well. I haven't walked for the last couple of days, it's freezing in the morning and I felt very exhausted from my cycle, so my walking buddy & I decided to take a break til it's warmer!! I spent the afternoon wanting to eat sweets, when I try eating protein I can barely get it down, about 5 bites & I feel stuffed, but then the sweets start calling, & I can eat sooo much of it!!! I experienced "dumping" after a handful of carmel popcorn, that sucked!!
I know it's head hunger, I know I need to control it and work this sleeve, but now I'm just wondering if it's gonna work for me still. I see so many who has lost more than me & they had surgery after me... so I'm wondering if I will lose it all or if I will always struggle with my weight.
