the BEST "unflavored" protein powder (in your opinion) is...?

I tried some weird brand from Vitamin Shoppe called New Whey and it's disgusting IMO.

I need something that won't turn into a layer of sludge, make things taste even nastier and can work in both hot and cold foods.

Place your vote and save my sanity, as I was just alerted I have yet another week on full liquids. :-/

TIA.

I recently recieved a flavorless whey isolate protein powder called Pure and you can get it from Bariatriceating.com. You can mix it in hot and cold. you cannot however reheat any food that you put it in as I found out the hard way. I heated up some soup and it curdled up. If I had read the directions I would have known not to do that. IMO there is no after taste at all. Just follow th directions on how to mix it in liquids and you will be fine. I tried to get it weeks ago but it was sold out and I just got it yesterday. So that speaks for it self, thats what I tought and its pretty true to form regarding tasteless.

Hey, sorry to say they are all pretty nasty.  I used Gladiator protein from Smoothie King.  It's not unflavored, but it's the best tasting protein powder I've found.

is it chocolate?

I've never heard of Smoothie King before I came to OH. I just looked it up and there is *one* lonely location about 10 mins from my house. I'll check them out..

Hi, they have chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.  It's 42 grams of protein per serving which is great especially for folks who can't eat enough protein yet.  It costs around $30 per jar and has 20 servings.  If you go to their website, www.smoothieking.com they have coupons.

You can even mix it in your pureed foods to try to get all your protein in. Anything like, egg salads, hot chocolate etc. They only thing with is you need to mix with a small amout of cold or warm water to dissolve it and mix into your liquids. Hope this helps. I have been using protein powders for years befor surgery so I know a little about protein powders, at least IMO, lol

I can't stand Gladiator. Unjury unflavored actually has no smell. They also have other flavors. I have used the unflavored in hot chocolate, but you have to mix up the protein and choc mix with water to make a slurry, then add the ho****er while stirring. I've not had trouble with clumping doing that. I don't know how it would be in other types of foods. I've also added it to cottage cheese w/sf jellow. Good luck!

I used Unjury during the liquid phase and it had a smell and it left an aftertaste.  Once I got to mushie phase, I couldn't take the smell and it just has a bad texture or something.

I'm having a hard time with protein drinks - powders and RTD - I think I might be allergic to whey - I get sick to my stomach after every drink.
