I am 5 months post op and I have been in a stall for about 6 weeks now.  I don't get it.  I am not doing anything different.  I am working out 3 to 4 days a week..no change there and doing the same with my diet.  I have about 23 lbs to lose to get to goal.  I know that the last of the lbs come off slower but I still do have 23 lbs...and this is very fustrating. Can someone please help....I need some advice on how to shake things up!

Thanks,
Patty

We are about the same as far as stats go.  I just came off a 4+ week stall yesterday.  I upped my calories and carbs for a couple of days, then went back down.  I don't know if that worked or not.  I just kept following the program and exercising.  Just keep working it.

Yep.  I echo that.  You have to break up the routine.  If you have been jogging, then switch to bike.  If you have been eating the same things at the same times, then switch up what you eat and when.  Add some calories.  You may gain an oz or two, but then you'll fall after that.  You have your body trained to receive the same thing everyday and it has adjusted to that.

Stalls happen to almost all of us... long stalls.

Switch it up like the others said.

I would also suggest maybe adding a few calories, but make them quality... like something high fiber.... kidney beans, etc. If you're eating simple sugars... eliminate them.... eat only complex carbs. Sometimes my sodium intake is higher than I thought and that can make one retain fluid. Oh, some folks are slow losers who have large intake of artificial sweetners. You may  want to cut those if you eat them.

You'll start losing again if you're consuming the right amount of calories for your weight and weightloss goals.

Good luck!

Meg

checking to make sure I drink all my water helps, but also even adding more than you normally do - so if you are getting 64 oz then go up 16 more. Also I usually add in more protein - so maybe 1/2 a scoop more in my shake. This normally will get me out of a slump - but really I haven't had much of a stall (knocks on wood). Good luck and hang in there!!
