"J" shaped stomach = longer sleeve?
Was told after surgery my stomach wash shaped a little different - in the form of a "J". If I'm remembering everything correctly, my husband said the surgeon mentioned this might mean a slightly longer "tube" tummy. I, of course, was out of it but will be asking questions when I get my drain out tomorrow.
Has anyone else had this "J" shaped stomach pre surgery? Did it affect your surgical outcome? Any questions you think I need to ask my surgeon?
Thanks!
Lisa

Mine is not J shaped but my Dr told me I have a slightly longer stomach. I told him I felt like I could eat more than most after surgery. He checked my records and said my stomach measured a 3 and most measure a 2. Whatever that means. lol
I'm losing just fine. I have lost 45 lbs since Aug 3. No complaints. My concern is keeping it off. I'll probably have to be careful how I eat when my (honeymoon) stage is over.
The best thing I think we can do is learn good eating habits now. That is my goal.

I did not have a "J" shape, but I was told that I do have a longer than normal stomach.
From the start I could eat more ounces than most. I religiously weighed and measured my food - I hate throwing up. I never got sick and the amount of food on my plan was enough to fill me up. I have done amazing!
