Does anyone have any regrets?
I wish I would have done it sooner TOO! I tried everything and did lose weight but gained it back again every time. Now I have lost over 77lbs and feeling GREAT! I can eat anything I want "just smaller portions" and love it.
I never told anyone. NOT even my mother or father. It's been almost 5 months out and no one knows. I just hear "YOU LOOK GREAT" and WOW all the time. Feels good to me and that is all that matters. I will tell after I get to my goal and maybe put some before and after pics in a box and wrap it up for X-mas presents :-)

I am only a newbie to this... sleeved a week ago. I am amazed every day tha I have NO cravings... NONE! not to be controlled by wanting to eat all the time is such freedom. Now I just don't care about food. I eat (well, drink) to get teh nutrition that I need and I am much happier with that kind of a relationship with food. It was far too important to me before. Patti
Truly, I have no regrets. The VSG has been amazing. I met my weight loss goal in 13 months and it was easy because I'm not hungry.
I can eat anything I like at this stage, I'm in maintenance. There are foods I choose to not eat like pasta, rice, potato and bread. I also do not tolerate burgers or sausage well. I don't miss the foods I stopped eating. Limiting carbs gives me more energy and I rarely experience hunger.
I told everyone about the surgery, no regrets. Some people asked good questions others were dumb about WLS but all things considered I think I've helped people who have seen my success and metamorphoses due to the sleeve. Three friends are now in the pipeline for the sleeve.
I regret not having the VSG sooner. Life with the extra weight was limiting and now I feel set free.
Good luck,
George

Haven't had it done yet, scheduled for October 25th for the Vertical Sleeve, I tell everyone....I don't care what their opinion is...they haven't lived in my body and felt the pain and discomfort....Most people are excited for me...some don't understand why, if I can lose 30 pounds on the doctor observed diet, why can't I do it without the surgery.....and I explain that this is just one more tool in my arsenol to defeat the enemy (obesity).......The only opinion you need to worry about is your own and how positive this decision makes you feel. Wishing you a safe and positive journey to the new you!! Good Luck!!
