Hiya!

I haven't had mine yet (2 more weeks) but I hear ya on the going to another country thing. I am nervous, but I am confident in my decision.

It's a scary thing to have surgery, let alone in a foreign country where we can't drink the water...lol
BUT MANY and I mean MANY people love Dr Rod and Dr Aceves. I am sure that you have done your research and just know that you will be in good hands.

I'm sure some people who have actually HAD their surgery will chime in but I just wanted to tell you that your not alone in your fears.

Your past does not equal, nor does it dictate, your future.

I too had surgery in Mexico in April 2010 and am doing fantastic. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have never felt as good as I do now.

Best of luck! You will be on the loser's bench so we will slide over.

how we came out is pretty much due to what surgeon we had and in what hospital. I have never heard of the surgeon you mention - and, is it done in a hospital?

having it done in another country is like having it done in this one: you might get a good surgeon, you might not.

I would strongly recommend you ask WasaBubbleButt who is an RN and has done a LOT of research.

my surgeon was excellent and I was very comfortable in a wonderful, clean hospital. I hope for the same for you!

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

I went to Mexico and had a great surgery experience.  Fantastic doctor and staff plus the hospital was cleaner and the nurses more attentive than some hospitals I have been in the states.  Good luck on your surgery!!!
