OUCH!!!!

So I haev been having a slight discomfort when I sit for a while or I sit on a wodden chairs or do floor abdominal exercises.  I wonder if anyone else is experience tailbone pain???
It's as iff there were allll these years where the tailbone was hidden and protected or encased in fat and now.. I'm a small size 14 and the tailbone is totally out and about and actually hits first when I sit vs never!!!!  It's starting to hurt more and more.  Has anyone had this problem?  How long did it last before you re-adjusted?  What did you do in the meantime?

I am so embarrassed when I skip out at the en of the gym class when they do the floor ab stuff... I feel like people say there goes the lady girl... they have no idea the pain I got through if I was to even try.  Then after forcing myself to work thru it, I bruise the damn thing and I'm in hell for several days while it heals!

hey i have some of this too. never thought i'd have such a small butt that i would consider adding a cushion to a wooden chair. saw one of those weight loss and plastic surgery tv shows where a woman actually had a small bit of tailbone removed because of significant problems like this. so my case is not too horrible but i am still adjusting and have to remember that i just can't sit in some of the ways i used to. on the other had, there are now new ways i CAN sit such as comfortably in airplane seats, small cars, smaller chairs with arms etc. hope it straightens out for you. D

Yes, just recently.  I rode/drove in a car for 6 hours straight and sat in meetings all day and my tailbone really hurt.

I've experienced this too...It hurts sitting on a hard flat surface. I started doing spin classes at the gym. My biggest issue is how sore I am from the bike seat. I'm going to the sporting good store to buy a bike seat cushion.

Yep, not as bad as you are describing.  I have to switch from cheek to cheek while watching a movie or sitting in the car.  Luckily there is room in the seats now to wiggle around.  I thought I was crazy.  Thanks for sharing!

I'm hoping I have the same problem and can use it to talk my insurance company into paying for one of those Brazilian butt lifts lol (or whatever it is when they take fat from some other part of your body and shape some nice full buttocks from it!  I never had much of an arse to begin with and that is definitely something I want to do when I get to my goal weight :)

me too. I am having a fleur-de-lei tummy tuck with lower body lift and butt flaps done here soon. I am so hoping that the fat they fold under will not only add junk in the trunk, but also pad the tailbone.

That was one of the first things I noticed after losing some weight. Suddenly I couldn't sit in my recliner for hours on end. It was too painful. After about an hour or less, I had to get up and move around. I guess that's a good thing. LOL But yeah, wooden restaurant chairs are the worst.

I think I'm getting used to it now, though. It doesn't seem as bad or I've learned to adjust. I'm not sure. But it was a definite surprise.
