Do I have to put them in the blender and puree or can I eat without blending?

I'm starting out soft/mushy stage and just made a pot of lentils....I think I'll puree tonight, but maybe won't tomorrow and try it out.....

You're only two weeks out. I think it might be wiser to puree them into a thick soup until you're back to eating regular food when you can have them whole.

I was able to eat soliods two weeks out...about 3 oz at a time but solids. But a pot! Hahaha that will take a month to eat! Everyday that is.

My feeling is...if you don't mind chewing it well...its basically pureeing it in your mouth right?  When I started on mushies, I didn't go to the trouble of pureeing my chili, ham and bean soup, etc....I just chewed it up super good before swallowing and I didn't have any problems.

Lentils are great!

If you chew them well you don't have to run them through the blender. Though they are good when you puree them

I eat Lentils 2-3 times a week. They do not slow my weight loss and they are great at keeping you regular.

If I say so myself, these were the best lentils I've ever made! Ha!  But made a huge pot!  I felt restriction for the first time....it was great to finally feel full after a lifetime of being a bottomless pit.....

This translates into....I will be freezing a couple of containers of soup and unfreeze as I use them....ha!

You shouldn't take that extra calcium supplement, in my opinion. Despite my investigations' conflicting findings, I've concluded that citrate is the most bioavailable form for humans. At first, the Citracal petites were easy to take. Since research shows that most of us have insufficient amounts of vitamin D in our systems, I just started supplementing with additional dry D3 and a Tender cal/mag/d3 combo from vitalady.com.

Homemade lentils are the best kind. You can vary the recipe and they never get boring or repetitive. You'll really appreciate the fiber in them as you progress with your sleeve. They've been a part of my success with the sleeve.

Good luck,
George
