VSG and Ulcerative Colitis
Another patients experience with a sleeve would be meaningless to you. Every case of ulcerative colitis is unique to that patient.
There are people with ulcerative colitis that have had the sleeve done. They do it in full consultation with the physician that is treating them for that disorder, and that physician remains a part of their post-op team.
Don't even think about any form of weight loss surgery without involoving your treating physician in every aspect of it.

Normally I just let you say your thing and get on with it. I don't want to come across as confrontrational, but I want to give this person a fair shake. Your post was a bit strong and assuming - don't you think?
Never did they say they weren't involving their treating physician. They were just looking for someone with a similiar issue to talk to. Exactly what this forum is set up to do.
Seems like you jumped the gun and didn't give this person a fair shake at investigating their surgery options from all perspectives - physician, other people, studies, etc.

Revision from Sleeve to DS (with re-Sleeve) on 10/10/17. Slow and steady ...
Hi My Friend
I'm glad to see a familiar person on this forum. I kept reading and rereading my original post and wondering how someone could misinterpret what I was asking for. I choose to live my life with kindness and respect so I don't understand people who go about doing the opposite.
I appreciate the message.
Thanks

Oh ya, orientation on Monday was great! My journey has begun. I'm still looking for someone who I can talk to about my health situation.
I will email you personally. I'm trying to catch up.

He always does that. I'm not even sure why I unblocked him, it will likely last less than a week. :o/
I have full support of my doctor (and many other doctors) and I have just begun my journey to WLS. However, I really wanted to talk to someone who would understand the unique challenges that an ileostomy presents. It is never meaningless to hear other patients stories and to ask questions whether they can be answered or not.
