Maybe your body is trying to tell you you need more vitamin C.  I'd try to avoid the OJ though because it contains so much sugar.

Get a bottle of the chewable vitamin "C" and start taking a couple of them a day.  They will supply you with the vitamin C you need.

Also, maybe you have awakened the Carb Monster with the all of the sugar in the OJ, and that will make you really crave more carbohydrates. If you take your total carbs down to 25 grams or less for two or three days the carb cravings will subside, and you can get back on a more normal diet.

I go through weird craving spurts too. For what it's worth, I think 100% fruit juice is just fine if you are only drinking one or two glasses a day. The sugar is the natural sugar from the fruit.

I started at 324lbs and a size 26.  After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011.  My second daughter was born in September 2013.  I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs.  I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter.  The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls.  My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.

You know what really sucks, is when you are highly allergic to citrus fruit, and your body craves stinkin' orange juice.

I break out in hives, and itch for days if I have the smallest amount of OJ, and for the last 2 weeks that's all I have wanted to drink. The ill-effects are not worth it so I haven't given in. But, Oh how this craving pains me, and has for years.

I drink OJ...in fact, I'm drinking some right now (orange-pineapple-banana, to be precise!). I think that the natural sugar is fine in moderation, and outweighed by the nutrients that we frankly cannot get in solid foods - I mean, how much of an orange can YOU eat in one sitting?

I drink it diluted to 1/2 strength so i get twice as much OJ drinking pleasure :) Tastes great once you get used to it.

As far as the cravings go, I crave OJ when I get hypoglycemic.

Because its so acidic I wouldn't try it this soon out. Give your tummy more time to heal before putting suffin' so strong in there.

I am almost 6 weeks out and I don't have a problem. Actually my dr said 100% orange juice is great because it's high in vit and fiber.
