What would you say about just putting some good ol' hand sanitizer in there? (dipped in a q-tip of course)

I just discovered this yesterday. I told my husband that my belly button smelled like garlic. I clean my belly button everyday when I shower but I dont' dry it like the rest of my body. Yesterday I decided to do this and the smell was garlic. I took a Q-tip and more soap and water and washed it out.

I never in a million years would have thought it was because of WLS.
Great question.

Yup, I never heard anyone mention this either. And believe me, I have done a LOT of research.

Hand sanitizer is basically alcohol with a bit of moisturizing agent in it.  You need to kill the  candida (yeast) for best results.

Never put a qtip in your bellybutton.  A tiny piece of fiber may come off and you will REALLY get an infection.

Right now take a washcloth and clean it out as best as possible.  Then each time you shower dry the bb with a hair dryer (not too hot) and then put in a little antifungal powder.  The main thing is to keep it dry.  The bacteria will not be able to grow then.
