Yes but how is that bad? how is it THAT bad to get your story out?
I guess I just don't feel the shame...

my life was spent feeling shame as a fat girl previously... I don't wanna go through that again...

I decide who I tell my story to.  Before the share button the only way I could be found (here) is if someone guessed my screename, then googled it, bringing them to a link of my profile (in which case they'dve been stopped at my avatar) or if they'd come to the site on their own.

Now, nobody even has to know that much, a friend of a friend of whomever puts one of these threads on their facebook page and bam there's the message board link, with our accompanying profiles, surgery pictures, etc.  If what you're asking is what's wrong with getting your story out if it helps one person, for every one, there are exponentially more whose interest is exploitive and because they were people who weren't interested in wls to begin with, they would not have gone through the steps above to find you, understand?  shame has nothing to do with it, this is about the CHOICE of exposure.

Very well said!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.
