MSRA infections and no sleeve at all from Mexico
FYI - her profile is now private. too bad, I wanted to see the hourglass shaped sleeve. wouldn't that be larger? I don't see any advantage to that!
once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.
PM me if you are interested in either of these.

She basically made a bubble at the top of her stomach instead of a sleeve all the way down. Now she has horrific reflux and the time is getting closer where she will not be able to keep food or liquids down at all. So now she has no choice but to get bypass. :o(
Read her surgeon testimonial on her OH page, it's here:

She's really sweet, I feel very sorry for her. She does not want bypass but she has no choice, she has to do it to repair her stomach.
Pompa claims that she just stetched out her stomach. Four other surgeons disagreed including Rabkin and Cirangle in the US and Aceves and Ungson in MX. They all said the sleeve isn't anything near what it should be, the procedure was done completely wrong. So four revisions surgeons are saying the procedure was done wrong and Pompa is blaming the patient for stretching out her stomach.
Honestly, in the research I have done, I think it is all very devious. First, this is a medical procedure. People shouldnt be paid to referr their doctor. Its just not ethical. I would drop my physician like a hot potato if he suggested such a thing. I am happy to share my story but once you are on the pay roll, you are in different territory.
Second, the mexico connection...I go the strong impression that there are people lying on both sides. Some people saying they went to one doc and he was great, posting with different names and saying they had problems with the competition. I think there is more then a couple cases of this and have seen much older posts and various sites where people have been caught doing this.
So, with no offense to anyone, if a person is singing their Mexican surgeons praises to high heaven, I think they are being paid. I dont trust them. And in the cases where they are open about working for the surgeon, they need to be considered for just and employee, not an impartial guide.

it's the internet and anybody could be other than what they claim to be, sadly. so I agree with what you are saying.
ironically, when I came back from Mexico and posted about it, I felt I had to down play what a great experience I had.
especially when I wrote about how beautiful and clean the hospital is, I felt like people would assume I was being paid to do so. it really is that nice! ah well, we do what we can.

Ditto Jackie. I got accused once. by PM. I ignored it and blocked them. I would be singing the praises of an American Doctor if I could. I LOVE my OB/GYN and my PCP and recommend them to everyone. Why should I with my WLS?HA! I'm accused of it all the time and the two funny things about it are;
1) I usually suggest several doctors unless I am asked about my own personal experience, and
2) It's always the paid posters that are accusing ME of being a paid poster!
I have to admit, I really don't care for the sleeve board, I prefer the main board where they don't post much. Without a doubt the sleeve board is the WORST for real paid posters, the MX board is next, and revisions follows.
The revision board goes in cycles, there are two US surgeons that must worry when business is slow as all the sudden they show up in droves then they are gone for a few months.
