***PRE OP DIET COMING UP FAST***
So....I start my pre-op diet on Dec 15th. (Tues) For the past couple of days, my stomach has been upset. (kinda like butterflies) I usually never get "nerves" like this. My hubby says it is just my nerves being frazzled. I am inclined to agree with him on this one. I have a very long (to me) pre-op diet, BUT....I am a "heavy weight". That being said....I am ready for this. I just wi**** were over, & I was in recovery!! I will post daily starting Tues on my pre-op. I think that will help me be even more accountable. Well....I have 4 days till Pre-op. I am ready! I am ready!
Try not to get discouraged during the pre-op diet. It will, by far, be the hardest part of the entire surgery. I remember how tough it was to get anywhere close to satisfaction. Stay with it, because the rewards of doing well on the pre-op diet are a better surgery and faster recovery. I wish you all the best!
Good Luck! On my first week of liquids - day 3 was bad, but after I finished day 3 each day got easier. By surgery most of my cravings were gone!
Don't worry - once you get past week 1 everything is so much easier. Don't worry about never having a certain food again either. You can eat anything in moderation after you make goal. The great thing is nothing tastes that great that you binge.
I am satisfied with a bite - my first Thanksgiving dinner at goal weight - I had a tablespoon of potatoes and dressing - 1/2 a roll and thanked god that they had a dog. After the first bite of dressing and roll - I was totally satisfied. The dog got the rest when no one was looking, cause I just did NOT WANT to eat anymore. Still AMAZED to this day, loving my sleeve.
