Would you recommend it?

What do you like/dislike about it?

Thanks in advance,

I borrowed one to whip up these protein shakes.  I'm make my shake using milk and Baratric Advantage Protein Powder.  I don't like using the bullet for these shakes.  It makes them too thick for me to get down.  I'm not talking thick as in a straw could stand in it.  Probably more the consistency of a thin milk shake.  Then a friend sent me a blender cup.  Now, that I like.  I think it probably mixes the powder just as well, but for some reason it stays thin.

I think I will use it next weekend when I can finally have soft foods.  And, I might even use it to make some smoothies with real fruit to mix with the protein powder.  It would probably do a really good job with that.
If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.

I have it and I love it.  It does create a lot of bubbles in the shake though.  I have to let it sit for a little bit to wait for them to die down.

I had one and it self-destructed into my shake and I broke a crown on the plastic (it looked like ice cubes that hadn't totally been crushed, which tended to happen with that one). So I got a new one and it worked better but then the black part that crushes the ice stopped twirling. So now it's dead.

I did order a replacement part but it never came. Damn eBay! I guess I better get on that.

I have one. I don't like it much. I don't think it was worth the money. It really doesn't work very well! The last thing I tried to make was pesto and it was SUCH a pain in the ass. Should've bought a food processer instead!!

Yeah...stuff like this kills me. Its only benefit (in my opinion) is that it's small and compact. I have a verrrrry small kitchen so I prefer this on my counter over my food processor or big blender.

Otherwise, there is this gasket thing that keeps coming off and breaking and they know it because they include a few replacements in package and I don't find it to be very powerful (it doesn't even crush ice nicely).

I always feel like such a consumer dope when I buy stuff like this. Some marketing genius is making a b-zillion $$$ on a small sub-standard blender.

Oh well....I do use it, but don't like it so much that when it goes (and it WILL go) I'd bother to get another...

I had one.  The gasket leaking and my liquid ran all down inside of the guts of it.  It was a mess.  I think a regular blender works just as well.

I have one and love it!  I bought it preop and use it 6 out of 7 days a week and have never had a problem with it.  I love to mix my soymilk with 2 scoops of protein powder and add in 1/2 cup of crushed ice.  It takes away most of the grittiness of the protein powder, which I love!  My kids also use it to make banana/strawberry shakes or milkshakes.  I think you can get a similar kind at Walmart that will do everything the bullet will do and comes with the same accessories.  I think the brand is Sunbeam.  I paid 29.99 at Kohls for mine last year but the regular price is 49.99.  The sunbeam model is 24.99(I think).

I love mine.  LOVE!

I haven't had any problems with the gaskets like a PP said, but I do believe that there must be a problem with them as I got 4 replacements with mine.

I used mine to make "snow" for my kids when they had the flu and were fevered and not keeping anything down.  I just over crushed ice for them and it was just like perfect "snowball snow"...easily packed.

I'm pre-op and haven't used it for shakes yet, but I did use it to make kind of a frozen mocha coffee drink thing.  Worked well for that, in my opinion.  I also experimented the other day thinking I might be able to chop onion and pickle into cream cheese then throw in some tuna for a tuna salad, but it totally pureed it within just a few seconds...it was liquid enough to drip.  Still worked out pretty well, though, as I just added in the rest of the tuna and didn't have to add any mayo.

All that being said, I wouldn't pay retail for it.  I got it on super sale for $35 which was what I would have paid for a small food processor, which I already have and am not happy with.

I really do love mine!!! I've had it about 6 months and use it almost everyday without any problems. Mine came from Costco and right now they have a $10 off coupon for it and that brings the price down to $35.99!!!

Hope this helps :)
