Does anyone here have a magic bullet blender?
I think I will use it next weekend when I can finally have soft foods. And, I might even use it to make some smoothies with real fruit to mix with the protein powder. It would probably do a really good job with that.
I did order a replacement part but it never came. Damn eBay! I guess I better get on that.

Otherwise, there is this gasket thing that keeps coming off and breaking and they know it because they include a few replacements in package and I don't find it to be very powerful (it doesn't even crush ice nicely).
I always feel like such a consumer dope when I buy stuff like this. Some marketing genius is making a b-zillion $$$ on a small sub-standard blender.
Oh well....I do use it, but don't like it so much that when it goes (and it WILL go) I'd bother to get another...
:)
I have one and love it! I bought it preop and use it 6 out of 7 days a week and have never had a problem with it. I love to mix my soymilk with 2 scoops of protein powder and add in 1/2 cup of crushed ice. It takes away most of the grittiness of the protein powder, which I love! My kids also use it to make banana/strawberry shakes or milkshakes. I think you can get a similar kind at Walmart that will do everything the bullet will do and comes with the same accessories. I think the brand is Sunbeam. I paid 29.99 at Kohls for mine last year but the regular price is 49.99. The sunbeam model is 24.99(I think).
I haven't had any problems with the gaskets like a PP said, but I do believe that there must be a problem with them as I got 4 replacements with mine.
I used mine to make "snow" for my kids when they had the flu and were fevered and not keeping anything down. I just over crushed ice for them and it was just like perfect "snowball snow"...easily packed.
I'm pre-op and haven't used it for shakes yet, but I did use it to make kind of a frozen mocha coffee drink thing. Worked well for that, in my opinion. I also experimented the other day thinking I might be able to chop onion and pickle into cream cheese then throw in some tuna for a tuna salad, but it totally pureed it within just a few seconds...it was liquid enough to drip. Still worked out pretty well, though, as I just added in the rest of the tuna and didn't have to add any mayo.
All that being said, I wouldn't pay retail for it. I got it on super sale for $35 which was what I would have paid for a small food processor, which I already have and am not happy with.
