I have BCBS Federal and was denied about 2 weeks ago due to VSG being experimental. I tried to appeal and was told they had 6 months to reply. It seems to vary depending on your state. I didn't want to wait 6 months so I switched to RNY.
Yeah I think it's so weird that some people get appoved and some get denied for being "experimental"!!! I mean it's the same insurance co! I really didn't want to get the RNY but I will if I need to. Thanks!
