Hello,

Question to Self pays due to WLS exclusion in your policy...I have UHC, but it is actually my employer that excludes all wls...!!!!!!!!!!!!!

theu would pau for my takedown of the old vbg from 99 another carrier the, they pay for the hernia  BUT I would pay for the RNY myself,,

So if you have wls and pay your self...will the insurance then not want to pay down the road if there is a complications or for tests Drs may need to do for you later ? or for appointments with dr ..such as strictures? or any other possible complication that could arise ??

Just wondering how crappy a insurance company can really be..if they do exclude you pay then 6 mos or a year or so down the road and a issue arises due to your self paid wls ??

Thanks! you can PM if you prefer not to post

Open enrollment is at different times at different companies, and, unfortunately, not all companies have more than one plan to choose from. I had to get married so I could use my fiance's/husband's insurance to cover my surgery because the ONLY health plan available through my employer has a complete WLS exclusion! My employer offers one plan, take it or leave it.
