Hi, Donna,
Thanks! I did have a tummy tuck and a breast reduction/lift. I was lucky in that I didn't carry that much weight in my arms, so they came out okay. I do have a little batwing action but I can live with it. (And there's still definite flab and sag under the dress, believe me, LOL)...

Sure! I take 2 multivitamins a day. I was using Centrum Silver, now I'm taking one NatureMade Liquid Softgel Multi (because it has iron and I was a little low on that a year ago) + 3 Gummy Vitamins for adults from Costco (3 equals about one full strength vitamin). Then I take one D3, no particular brand, about 2000 i.u. My D levels were great, and that's a common problem. I was taking the Trader Joe's sublingual B's a couple of times a week, but that doesn't have any B1, so my doctor suggested switching to a Vitamin B Complex. I also take 2 calcium citrates from Costco.
I don't generally supplement protein anymore, though occasionally (like once a week) I'll have a shake--I like the Premier ready to drink ones from Costco. I do focus on protein first at every meal. I aim for 50-60 grams a day, which Dr. Jossart said was fine.
When I had surgery, my cholesterol was WAY high, bad ratios, high triglycerides, etc. I was pre-diabetic and insulin resistant. It's all perfect now, and I'm thrilled!

Thanks so much for the vitamin info. I'm almost one year out and ready to go for my second round of labs. It's always so instructive to hear from those further down the road who are doing well taking care of themselves. Congratulations on your journey---your post inspires and encourages those of us behind you!
