Two year surgiversary!
I am nervous about getting a leak! Was there any particular reason this ocurred or took so long to heal?
On the other hand, what a weight loss. Congratulations! You are at my goal weight. I can only dream. My surgery is planned for September. I have question for everyone. What do you do to satisfy a sweet tooth in a low carb, low sugar way? I just looked at "sugar-free" pudding and it still has sugar and carbs. Same with weigh****cher fudgicles. Any comments?

It took so long to heal because we didn't know that my sleeve was twisting. Everytime we did a procedure to glue it, it would be normal. It wasn't until he finally did an open surgery where he could see just what had been going on. This is extremely rare so please don't worry. Just take good care of your sleeve the first three weeks.
When I was in the losing stages I used to eat a lot of fudgecycles and sugar-free pudding. I didn'****ch the carbs too much because bread was so hard for me in the beginning. Now I can eat bread in the afternoon and evenings but have a hard time with it in the mornings? Go figure that one out. I love chocolate...I still eat it but once again...just not much of it. I wish I could say I have this amazing will power but I don't...my sleeve keeps me from overeating, thank God! The only thing that surprises me is how much popcorn I can eat. It's about the only think I can eat a lot of. Weird huh? I really never get full on it...so I try and limit my popcorn consumption to just the movie date night out.

At first I could only eat a half a sandwich and a very few chips. Now I eat a whole sandwich but usually no chips if I eat the whole sand. Another example is I like McDonalds ( I know bad) but...I will order the double cheeseburger and eat it without the top bun. I am really full when I finish. At taco bell I will eat a crunchy taco and then like half a buritto surpreme. Some days I can just eat a lil more than others. I do get hungry but it's not the same pain as before. It's like controlable hunger if that makes sense.
Hi Lisa,
Wow great job!
Sorry you went through so much at the beginning!
You have lost more weight than you actually weigh now. You have lost a whole person! And gain a whole new life. You look amazing!
I LOVE the way you are basically normal. You admit you don't follow the rules, and yet you are maintaining. Very very cool...
I hope I am like that. That is my major concern... maintaining. I know I can lose the weight, I have done it so many times before... I am just worried about keeping it off.
All the best to you, you have done such a great job.
Cindy
