For those preops...all I can say is YES - it IS the best decison you have ever made - dont ever doubt it... For the posties, hasnt it been amazing!? I was terrified going to Mexico for surgery, I have 3 kids...what if I died, what if it didnt work, what if.....
I wrote letters to my important people and left them in my safe deposit box...sure that I was risking my life! You know what though...I was risking my life living each day with 100+ extra pounds on my poor body!
Is it hard? Sometimes, but it is WORTH it!
I hope everyone understands that change is hard, but when you win the battle you will know that victory really is sweet! ( and tastes so much better then anything you could have ever eaten!)
Good luck everyone!
May your journeys be as wonderful as mine was!

Hi finally~Thank you for your inspiring post!

I am wondering what you do in terms of your maintenance now?  Do you track intake?  What is your current activity level like?  What do you do to lose, if you gain more than a couple of pounds?  Thanks for sharing!

Although I'm pre-op, I already feel like I've waited way too long, but life keeps conspiring to delay my surgery..........sigh!

Your confidence in your decision 2.5 years ago is awesome, and encouraging.  I'm only 3 months out (still a newbie) and have no regrets.  Your story about yourself is awesome.  Did you journal throughout your journey?  I bet it would make a great book.  Thanks for your offer to talk.  Good luck on your plastic surgery.
Life is good!

Thanks for your post.  It is truly inspiring to hear from you veterans and those of us early on in our journey at the happiness and positive this has made to your lives.  I can't wait to be a year out.  No regrets thus far and the weight just keeps dropping!  Already my life is changing for the better in 2 months so I can only imagine how it feels at 12 months out.  Congratulations and thanks again for sharing your story!

Hello!  I read this post you did a while back and I was curious how much food you're able to get in now.  I am a year out today and I'm able to get in about a 8-9oz of soft foods at a time.
