CPAC Machine
If you have a mask that covers just your nose, you need to be sure to keep your mouth closed. If you're not able to keep it closed they have chin straps you can use, or you can try the full face mask.
I LOVE my CPAP! My machine can "ramp" up to the pressure prescribed, so it isn't full blast when I start it... it takes about 20 mins for it to get to full pressure and by that time, I'm usually out. I also use the nasal pillows; they're kinda like a really big nasal cannula.
Stick with it. :)
I think I might have blocked sinuses or something because I feel like I am suffocating and so I open my mouth and that just makes it worse. I bought nasal decongestant but that didn't help either.
My machine is also ramped but as soon as it gets on full then I am gasping for air, I am going to go and try and get a mouth mask, I will at least have some control on my breathing, hopefully. By the time I get this figured out I will have had my wls.

I am so glad that it worked out for you, but unfortunately it feels like I am drowning when I am wearing it, I can't even fall asleep. Once I did manage to drift off and within a couple of minutes I woke up gasping for air, in fact my DH told me that was the first time he ever heard me gasping for breath!!
So I am going to go back and try and get another mask - God knows how much that will cost me, thankfully our health plan covers the first $1000, but I already had to pay $800 out of my own pocket. Grrrr
