I have to say two things: one, I am in complete disbelief about this thread, and, two, somebody asked for customer service and was given unsolicited THERAPY???  WTH???  Oh, wait, three: I don't even KNOW what to think about the strange little "bariatric professional" interloper who's up in here passing judgement.  I swear, is this The Twilight Obesity Help Zone?

At one time I was offered a job by a protein product company as the Medical Sales Manager.  I changed my mind due to the fact that I only like one of their products and it would be hard to sell regardless of the great quality of protein they use. Point being, he told me that I had to be really careful of selling to bariatriceating because they really suck at paying their bills, they are hard to work with, they sell crap products along with great products, and they are just miserable human beings.  Apparently everyone fights over who had to deal with the account.  Mostly, they are really slow pay. I don't use them because they are too expensive. After reading your experiences I'm tempted to write to them and tell them how I will post on every board telling how bad they are and how they *really* feel about their customers.

As an online retailer myself, simple advice: Simply print up all emails received from her, file a dispute with credit card company and simply sign their affidavit and supply those emails to the credit card company. Just as important, write a letter (not email) to Lee Labrada Inc and inform them of the foil incident. I bet you're not the only one whose complained and if his company is concerned about their reputation, they'll follow up with Bariaticeating directly.

Believe me, she'll get hit with the chargeback fee ($25+) and if this is more than a one off occassion could face a higher interest rate/transaction fee all the way to account closure.

It's alot easier to simply refund the $$ and ban the customer from ordering again than to go around like this. Heck, since she is making a fine income, this is just a write off for her.

Oh ye**** PlanetFeedback.com and post your experience.

Wow, this has been interesting to read.  I can understand why the original poster is hot and angry.  Of course, biting someone's hand when you want something in return has never been a good way to get it. Then I read further and notice the post turns to a personal attack on the employee.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but HIPPA involves patient confidentiality.  You are not a "patient" of baraitric eating ... you are a client.  It's like the shoe store yelling out your shoe size to find you a pair of shoes.  While it may be private information, it is not governed by HIPPA. Then the posts about reporting her to her nursing board ....EVIL ... PURE EVIL! I joined OH for advice and support and do not look forward to future interaction as the personal attacks may turn my way as well. Geeze, if I don't like a store... they won't see me again.  If someone treats me badly or unfairly, I let them know.  Do I make it a free-for-all so everyone who has ever had an axe to grind takes turns at bashing....Oh No!  I try to be civil and work things out.  The primary arguement was with the business owner and you left someone else lying in the street.

This is one of many reasons why I did not like or appreciate the arguments for trying to torpedo this woman's life. In the name of protecting bariatric patients, we are now scaring patients away from a source of support and information. Please keep in mind, though, that you are free to "ignore" posters who make you feel unaccepted or unsupported, and the majority of people here are here to help and share information.  Don't let this chase you off! Stick around! Lisa

I just stumbled across this and enjoyed it so much I thought it deserved a bump. re: Theresa's crack about someone gaining weight....Physician (nurse) heal thyself. She has mentioned some weight gain that she is struggling with and its pretty obvious that her mentor has also experienced the same. Maybe all those protien shake add ons? ETA: for $1200.00 any one with a demonstrable connection to the world of bariatrics can be a member of the Corporate Council. big flippin deal....she bought a mailing list....

Just adding a tidbit of info, "Miss Dolly" DID infact work for BE over a year ago.  Miss Dolly was a regular poster for quite some time on OH's main board, before she moved to south FLA.  Once she moved to Florida, she was employed by Susan Maria in the Bariatric Eating store front.

Need proof, search her name here on OH's website and see what you find.  It's ALL there in black and white.
