I was just about to that. I was going to inform her that there is an uproar in the bariatric community inspired by an e-mail writen in her name and that I hope she sees a dramatic decrease in sales and productivity because of it. Would that be mean? She deserves it.

I just did that not too long ago MzCaramelBeauty......I don't know if it was mean or not but I told her that news was over here at Obesity Help. That I would be afraid to buy anything any further from them knowing that I could not get a refund on a faulty product which by the way could happen to any company but they need to stand behind their products none the less. Will let everyone know if I hear a response back. Sherri ps. I have bought from them in the past and it took a long long time for me to get my items. But I didn't notice any problems with anything EXCEPT the micellar milk was about to expire. It was safe though and I drank it right away.

JCA....I just emailed this Susan Leach. These companies depend on people like us to purchase from them. It is just plain wrong to be treated rudely...whether it was a misunderstanding or personal conflict...it shouldn't matter....they are in the business of pleasing bariatric customers....and I really think it would have been in their best interest to deal nicely with you then to treat you like they did....I hope I am not the only one who emails this person/company. We might not get your money back but we can be heard :-) sorry you were treated that way....I have ordered from our own store here at OH and have never had any problems. Usually quick delivery within 10 days with standard shipping..and that is 10 entire days not business days. Always friendly...always timely....never a problem here. good luck....hope this didn't upset you that I emailed..but I felt I had to do something...we the consumer do have a voice. Sherri

http://www.bariatriceating.com/contactus.html Here is the Contact Us link.  They give a bunch of people to email and her DH is CEO and even gives a phone number to contact him.  How handy... I just bought her book from Amazon.  I'm sending it back! Please post the emails ASAP so we can pu them on the other boards.  She will soon see there aren't anymore investment opportunities.  No

It is Disgusting that she would think that treating one customer this rudely would not go around. I for one will not buy from them at all.  To think that this people are in the business of selling to bariatric patients and to express themselves in that manner is just unreal. Please post the e-mails asap Maria

OK-I am copy the responses in the order I received them to my initial email-my initial email was about the product-refund, etc, and returning a recent order-there was nothing nasty about it-just stating my concern: 1 I am sorry that you feel that way but you are incorrect. All of our products are factory sealed; there are special tops on those containers. When you turn the lid, it perforates the foil. We have excellent quality control and the manufacturers of these products are very meticulous in what they send us. Your recent order has already been shipped. You may want to refer to our Shipping and Info section regarding our return policy. 2 Dear Customer, I am in receipt of quite a nasty email from you in regards to seals on products you purchased from us. If you would like to plainly and without rudeness tell me which products were opened and how many were damaged, we can go on from there and I would be able to help you. I would like to caution you that it is not very smart to threaten to commit product and mail fraud with Visa or Mastercard, and do it in writing as you have just done. If you damage, refuse the order that was shipped to you, or DUMP it anywhere as stated in your email, you will be responsible for the entire value of the purchase including shipping. In fact as of this moment you are fully responsible for the merchandise in that order. We do not play games with this sort of situation and do not expect any from you. If you would like to handle this as an adult we can continue this correspondence. Tell me what was open, the brands, and how many.  3 Let me start over with you since I can now read your original email. First, if you are having bariatric surgery in a few days, you have bigger fish to fry than picking a fight with my company. You are facing very serious and difficult surgery, and really need to focus your energy on that. Plus you should have been drinking protein for the two weeks prior to your surgery to get tuned up. The caps on the Labrada, and Micellar Milk products are designed so when you turn them, special plastic pieces in the cap perforate the foil. Sometimes the tiny pieces of foil are around the spout. It is impossible to open the cap on either of these products and not have the foil be opened. It is the way the packaging is designed. I have personally drank hundreds of these containers... and we have shipped literally hundreds of thousands of cases and never once has a container been opened. Since you will need protein in a few days, I would strongly advise you to chill the remaining containers you have as you are going to need PROTEIN for immediate use after surgery in order to heal rapidly and come out of this more quickly. If you have not chilled the two containers of product you opened as you didnt notice the special caps on the product, I understand that you wouldnt want to use them as they havent been kept cold, but there is nothing wrong with the remainder of the product. As for the order that you placed over the weekend that was indeed shipped on Monday - if you dont want it, you are responsible for its return. I could not care less if you dont shop with our company but I would strongly advise you to rethink doing anything but use that order as you are going to need good protein after your surgery (and you know darn well this has nothing to do with our quality control... we have been around for years and we have brand new warehouses and you could eat from our floors everything is so neat and clean) Once you begin to heal, you will feel so much better about your life, your weight, and can focus on a very happy and healthy future. Peace! Susan Maria 4 When you lose weight maybe you will be less of a miserable human being.  5 Good luck with your weight loss surgery this weekend. I have no boss, I own the company and have helped hundreds of thousands of people to be successful at this surgery. My book is the top selling book on weight loss surgery and was published by Harper Collins publishing company. I never said I wouldn't replace the containers you said had foil floating in them. However, you and I both know that you opened them and just didnt like the taste. You really should get used to protein, you will need it to lose the weight. I am serious... when you lose weight you wont be so angry with the world. Save your energy for your surgery bella... bariatric surgery is rough. Which is why you need the protein. You are a very angry person, and so needlessly. I am trying to help you... 6 I find you quite amusing actually. I dont know who you think you are... but has this horrible bullying actually get you anywhere in life? I find you extremely unpleasant and I imagine others do as well. I have been trying to initiate a kind conversation with you for several emails... arent you tired of being mean. Seriously, it really takes an effort for me to be mean... you should really try being positive and uplifting. Its also healthier. Oh well.. when you dont drink protein and your hair falls out, remember that I tried to help you... lol. Have a nice life bella. 7 Well... when your hair falls out... because no one can eat enough regular food at just a few weeks post op... please remember that I tried to help you. It is impossible for you to eat 75 grams of protein a day... that would be an entire dozen eggs or 11 ounces of chicken. You have to supplement to make up the difference between the little that you can eat and what you need or you will suffer nutritional deficiencies. Even if you dont like me, I know what I am talking about. By the way... you got a little nicer in this email. :)

Good GOD!!  I don't care what you said to her, or how pissed off you were (pardon my French) - this was SO inappropriate!!  I read her email responses to you.  She was patronizing, demeaning - a business bully and quasi-Freud psychoanalyst in one.  And she put it in print for the entire world (via this forum) to read - which proves that - even though she says she's a best-selling author - even IDIOTS can sound intelligent with a good editor in their corner!  I work in healthcare; our patients keep our business viable.  Our FIRST goal:  treat our patients with coordinated, comprehensive, and compassionate care EVERY time we interact.  Our second goal:  if the patient is in distress, so are we, until we MAKE THINGS RIGHT.  She's the businesswoman - wy does a healthcare provider need to teach her about "customer relations?"

FYI - I'm an Advanced Practice Nurse (CRNA, MS), and did a lot of research on VSG and nutrition prior to my VSG  - and I say she's full of horse puckey!  So there, "Ms. I'm a-bestseller-Susan-Maria -bella!"  What a whacko.

Hugs - and no, I won't be ordering from her anytime soon...

Katt
