Nutrimed

Has anyone here been on the Nutrimed meal replacements? Its not just liquid diet...theres soup, pudding, shakes, and bars.  This is what my surgeon wants me to do for 3 wks starting out. After that, I upgrade to a 1200 cal/day diet with help from a dietician. He said I might have to go back on the Nutrimed 3 wks before my surgery as well.  I sure wish I could lose my 50 lbs in the first 3 wks  lol Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone here knows anything about it. I have my 3 wks supply here at home. Im wondering what they taste like. I hope I can stick to it...I know I have to keep my eye on the prize...Im willing to do it...just cant get over the fear of failure..

Beautiful Lisa!!!! I haven't done Nutrimed, but I can just tell that you will do great!!  You've got that determination to finally get WLS.  You will do it!!  You can do it!!  And once you have your surgery you will have the most incredibly helpful weightloss tool -ever!!! Even if you have a few screw ups on the way, don't sweat it!  You will make it!!

Well Lisa lets try to see if there is a better way to look at it....go to any of our profiles and u will see that NONE of us have failed.....NONE!!!!  Now lets look at you and we see what....A lady who is just like us....has a weight problem and has the desire to lose the weight. YOU are no different than any of us. NONE of US are any different than YOU....We are no better, we are not stronger, we dont have better willpower, we dont have a magic wand. WE are all a bunch of people who have weight problems who are NOT failing!!!! Welcome to the club.....YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FAIL!!!!!!! Now get that junk they want u to drink and eat and just do it and find some things to keep you busy until u are done with your program.....and we are all here for you while you get er done!!!! love Noel  PS...I bet if you stay on that diet you will lose close to that 50lbs in a month....i have a hunch about that!!!!

Lisa, first of all welcome to the board!  You CAN do the liquid diet!  I had to do 2 weeks pre-op. The first few days were hard but I promise you it gets easier!  By the end of week 1  I already felt better for not eating all the crap I was used to!  I lost 25 lbs. in two weeks of liquids.  I bet you could come real close to 50 in three!!  How SWEET would that be?!   I've never heard of Nutrimed but it sounds just like Medifast, which I have done twice.  Most of it was tolerable.  I thought the soups were pretty flavorful.  The chocolate pudding was good and they had these oatmeal bars that were AWESOME!!   The shakes were best ICE cold!  Good Luck to you!!    Jodie

I think Chris had to do Nutrimed, but he doesn't post often enough to confirm or deny my memory.
It is a tough row to he, dear Lisa, but SUCH a good thing to have a pre-op diet. It will allow for some pre-surgical weight loss and the shrinking of your liver which will allow the surgeons to move your liver around without abusing it too much to get in there and get at the prize...you soon to be tiny tummy!
