Well, life has surely gotten crazy!!!
My partner's grandparents both died in the last month.
I weighed today and I am UNDER 300 lbs for the first time in 8 years or more!!!
I've lost 117 lbs... since 04/21/04..... AMAZING!!!!!!!!! *jump*
I am hoping to get back in the groove soon.

You must be getting so excited! I'm excited for you. Life will change so fast for the better for you. It's a very exciting time. The 1st year is a whirlwind. Can't wait to see what year 2 brings.
I had surgery on a Wednesday afternoon and left the hospital on Sunday mornings checkout (I think it was 11:00 a.m.). I had the choice of leaving the day before but chose to stay. So if you have surgery on Tuesday I would think you will be out of the hospital on Friday or Saturday.
Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth, complication free surgery! You are in GOOD hands... so stress not!

I had my surgery on a Monday morning at 7:30 am. I left the hospital Thursday morning.

I'm 6-1/2 months out and my hair is not coming out in clumps in the shower anymore! Yay! Luckily, I had a lot to lose, but one does wonder. I think you're on the down-hill side of things. Actually, my hair stopped coming out in clumps about 1-1/2 months ago.
So, hang in there, Kiddo!

When will the hair loss stop?!!! I'm four months since the VBG and I've more than doubled the amount of hair I lose when I wash and comb it. It's not noticeable in the back, but on top it is. If I knew it was going to quit falling out soon, I wouldn't worry, but this is really freaking me out!! I've always watched my protein and now the doctor suggested taking 3-6 gelatine capsules daily. I've been doing that for several weeks and it's still falling out. HELP!!!

I've been working my butt off to get ready for the race...but I'm really mad! I've been doing good on the diet, no sugar, low cal, low fat. Yesterday, I stayed under 1000 calories, drank over 2 quarts of water, walked 4 miles, and GAINED 4 POUNDS! What's up with That??? It's not part of PMS, so I dont know What's going on. The good thing is that being mad makes me want to work harder.
I saw that post about the cruise. I doubt I'll ever be able to do anything like that. Well, not until the kids are grown. I have a hard time getting a sitter for a Saturday night, let alone to go on a vacation. Even if I had the money, which I don't. I truly enjoy my little 'mini breaks' on the weekends though. I've met some great gals through this site and we go out dancing and singing on the weekends.
Exercising in the winter in Minnesota must be Hard! Just think about how that fact will make your victory so much sweeter!
Do you belong to a gym? I joined 24 hr fitness when they had a special $17 per month. Anyone can afford that. The trick is to find something that is fun for you. I LOVE walking up (a VERY steep hill) to the park every day during lunch. It's so beautiful there. Don't like walking? Find a pool. Not a swimmer? learn racquetball. We even have an adult dodge ball league here! Don't know what you like? Try everything! One of the gals on the local board scuba dives!
'With a stick' LOL. I will come to Minesota and kick your behind if I have to... but I will NOT be happy about freezing my arse off. They messed up my internal thermostat when they did my WLS so I don't tolerate cold well at All.
