The Surgeon's office finally called and gave me a date for my sleeve. I am excited and scared at the same time. I have family that is concerned but I do not let them see that I am actually a little afraid. But I am super excited about my journey beginning finally. I think it is worth the risk. it is either having surgery or a heart related incident which runs in my family.
my start weight was 278
now 258
goal 150
Every month this year, I have sent out a couple of cards to people chosen at random from my Rolodex. That's right - I rock it old school.
The lucky recipients receive a good, old-fashioned, snail-mailed card, delivered to their mailbox. No strings attached; it's just to provide a day-brightener.
If you want to be added to the list, PM me your mailing address. And skeptics rest assured: I have no interest in doing anything else with your address!
I am in the same boat. 20 years out and totally miserable. I'm in Arkansas. Have you had any luck getting something done?
My results were almost identical to yours. I just want to feel good and eat normal again.
Hugs and hope you find it . . .

I had my VBG in 2003 and had hernia surgery in 2012. My hernias were all along and around the scar tissue caused by my surgery (I had an open VBG). My surgeon told my husband that my insides looked like swiss cheese. I still have 2 other hernias that I hope to get repaired when I have my revision to the Duodenal Switch. I wish your grandmother all the luck and I would suggest she talk to a good bariatric surgeon-not due to a revision but some bariatric surgeons have great skills in repairing hernias caused my weight loss surgery.
