Everything seems hazy....
Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has experienced their vision looking white, hazy and their ears ringing. Especially when I get up this happens. Is this a sign that I am not eating enough or dehydrated? It is really unsettling because up until this, I have had no other issues with my recovery. Out three weeks tomorow. If anyone knows what this is I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks, Mel
Hi Melanie!
I'm about three weeks out too. My vision is pretty bad in the morning, improves during the day, worses as they get tired. I think it has something to do with water and nutrition. When I was thin, I'd get low blood sugar, get dizzy, MY VISION WOULD TURN WHITE (upon standing up too quickly), and my ears would ring. At that time, I was addicted to laxatives (at age 18, I was got up to 23 pills a day....so, so sad). I had ZERO electrolytes in my body from losing so much water each day..so it was a combination of severe deydration and potassium/magnesium deficiency FOR ME. When I stood up, I had to grab a wall and lean against it until my vision returned to normal.
Please check your water and your electrolytes (gatorade has only 2% of your daily requirements...don't waste your money). A heaping tablespoon of blackstrap m,olasses has a TON of potassium (richest source known) and magnesium and natural sugars. The "white out" that occurs...I think is a symptom that screams "serious". Please start with the water...I believe it can eventually hurt your heart. I let my "white outs" go on for over a year before I changed my habits and my heart felt so weak, like a baby kittens trying to beat in my chest. Scary.
Let us know if anything helps.
Sincerely,
Catherine
