hello vbg family....how are you? I know you guys have not heard from me in a while...I am sorry. I have been really depressed for a while. As you know I had the vbg on jan 26, 2005, and to date I have only gone form 282 to 261!! what is wrong with me. many people have lost 50 pounds by now!!! what am I dong wrong...I am crying everyday!! can I have the full gastric bypass now...If I choose to?? I really need some help..because I feel I am on the verge of a break down...in 2 months only barely 20 pounds!!! come on!!

Lakeea, please don't be down. Go over with your doctor what you are doing. Are you eating too much or high caloried foods? Do you have an exercise program that you are following religiously. Sometimes when you are at a plateau like this, counting carbs and keeping out breads, pasta, etc. really helps. I know it did me when I hit a plateau. Remember this 20 lbs is still a good bit. Some people start off slow and start speeding up and vice versa. Everyone is different. I know losing slowly is better for that hanging skin believe me. Make a journal and chart down what you are doing daily and take it in to your doctor. I am sure you will be losing more soon. Fretting will do more harm than good.
