What made you choose VBG as your wls choice??? What is a sleeve, and what is it's funtion?
Just curious, I am currently researching ALL my options.
THE DEATH RATE TO ME WAS NOT AS HIGH. AND IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN I WOULD WITH MY EYES CLOSE. IN A HEART BEAT. I NEVER HAD PAIN.AFTER I HAD MY SURGERYAND OPEN MY EYES I COULD HAVE CAME HOME. I'M SO HAPPY I HAD THE VBG BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO GO BACK FOR FILLS. I REALY LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT (SMILE).

I went with the VBG because there were typically less complications in patients in recovery. Plus there is less surgical stuff done- the bowels and intestines aren't rerouted or anything like that...
i am happy that I had it done- even on the days when I have a hard time digesting stuff-
In 90 days I've dropped 75 pounds, gone down at least 2 sizes and gained so much more energy...
I would reccomend the VBG highly- so long as your serious about changing your eating habits after the surgery.
the VBG won't work if you don't change your habits- like no more overdosing on sweets or breads or soda-pop....
good luck.
I had the VBG with sleeve. The VBG part is just the same, but instead of just stapling the rest of my stomach, they cut it out. I guess about half of the stomach is removed. I had this done laproscopically, so it came out my belly button! So, regardless, my capacity will always be smaller. I wanted to get the lap band, but after consulting with my surgeon, this seemed the wiser choice for me. I am never hungry and have lost 60 pounds in four months. I can eat whatever I want, but very small portions. In fact, even though I can eat whatever I want, I usually just have room for protein!
Good luck!
