Hello All, I haven't posted in a long time, and just realized today I am 11 months post op. So I figured I post an update. As of 1/26/05, I was down 128lbs. I started at 475 and at my last weigh in I was 347. I feel great. It's amazing how much my life and health have improved. 11 months ago I couldn't buckle my seatbelt, fit in restaurant booths or movie theater seats, or walk up a flight of stairs. At 24 I knew I had to do something. These days, I'm doing all those things with no problem. I don't really have any good pics of what I look like these days, but if anyone is interested check out my Yahoo photo album. http://photos.yahoo.com/heavens_gift_20 The album called "new" is from 2004. The first 2 pics in that album are pre-op, the rest in that album are post-op. Take Care, Alysia

Hi Robin, Congratulations on your weight loss!! I was bursting out of a 30/32. Sometimes I could find 34, but everything had to be elastic. I was shopping at a store in my area called Catherines and The Avenue. I couldn't fit a think in Lane Bryant. I couldn't fit regular jeans, everything was elastic. I don't buy clothes very often because after a few weeks they get so baggy. I'm still wearing stuff that's a 30/32, hahaha. The last tops I bought were 22/24, but they are too big. My latest jeans are a 28 from Lane Bryant. I still have the big booty, but I don't mind it. hahahha. I'm 5'8, and even though I'm 347, everyone says I look much smaller. It's great.

HI ALYSIA IT'S GOOD THAT YOU DON'T BUY CLOTHES, BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP LOSING WEIGHT. I NEVER DID THIS BEFORE BUT I DO IT NOW. I WENT TO THE GOODWILL AND GOT SOME CLOTHES SIZE16 . I PAID 2 AND 3 DOLLARS FOR CLOTHES AND GOT THEM DRY CLEAN. AND THATS WHAT I'M WEARING NOW. I CAN'T WAIT TILL I GO DOWN TO 199.9 RIGHT NOW I WEIGH 234 I WAS 300LBS. WHEN I HIT 199 I WOULD LIKE TO PULL OFF 50 MORE POUNDS. YOU LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT TO BE A VBG KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING. ROBIN

Goodwill is a good idea. I've been giving a lot of stuff to them. As far as how I lose the weight, nothing special. I eat what I want, just in normal portions. I journal my food on Fitday.com. I aim for 1800 calories a day. Sometimes I go over, sometimes I go under. I don't obsess. I don't own a scale. If i want something sweet, I have it. If I want carbs I have them. This surgery has made me feel normal. I feel like I now eat like a normal person. The only bad thing, I haven't done is a lick of exercise. I'm so busy. My goal this year is to join a gym. Like ASAP.
