Hi Gloria, I think you're right, a lot of lurking, but not much posting. Good to hear that things are going well for you. I am only 12 days out, so I am still very much at the beginning of this. I look forward to the days when I can have the foods that you mention! Right now I'm still on the pureed stuff, which is ok. I've been living on cream of wheat, pureed creamed soups, cottage cheese, pureed chicken, pureed ham, 1 oz. of pureed liver pate', (tasty, but not something I plan to make a staple in my diet), yogurt, lite applesauce, etc. I went back to work for half day on my 10th day out, not because I had to, but because I felt good enough to. I will admit that I was surprised that I slept most of the morning on Saturday and Sunday. So I guess even though I feel up to it, perhaps I couldn't foresee the fatigue factor. I'm surely not up to any 16 hour days!!!! Hope you have a great week, Julie

Hello Gloria!! I have been on a "weight loss stall" I won't call it a plateau because I have not been exercising. So I know that it is because of ME that I am not losing weight. How is the Atkins working out?? I hope you show some weight loss for your efforts!! I weigh in tomorrow -- If I have gained any more weight I will am going to go running and screaming into the night!! I don't check the board very often on the weekends. I get real bogged down with my Ebay sales/listings/shopping on the weekends. Have a great week! And happy Halloween to you as well. Sharon -117

Hi Gloria! You are doing great on your weight loss! I'm proud of you! I've been binging on sugar again...have to stop doing that! I know I don't feel good when I eat a whole box of cookies, so why do I do it and how can I stop??? When I find out the answer to that question I'm going to sell it and be a millionare! I haven't exercised in almost a month. My knee is Still swollen and painful, but at least the bruising is gone. I hope I can get back to the gym soon, but I'm worried about causing permanent damage if I do any excercise. You are working 16 hour days? That's a lot of work! Hopefully your paycheck is bigger too. I never have overtime. Tammy

Hi Gloria! It's me, your surgery buddy. You're doing MUCH better than I am. I've lost around 50 and I've stalled. I will be the first to point out that I still have the brain I had going into this journey, so I still have a hard time saying "no" to bad foods. I still occasionally throw up - especially when I've eaten something dense (steak is my downfall). I've vowed to shed another 20 by Christmas, so I'm back on the wagon with my diet and exercise program (getting started with the exercising is the hard part!). I chase a 21 month old around all day, so that does give me quite a bit of excercise!! Hang in there and know that you're doing good. The weight didn't get there overnight and it won't disappear overnight. It's going to take time for all of us, so be patient and you'll come out just fine in the end! Good luck and keep in touch! -Wendy
