What do you do????
Good Afternoon Everyone
I am almost 5 weeks out of surgery and I am doing really well. I am not sure how much weight I have lost as of today because I don't own a scale because I don't want to be obsessive, but at 3 weeks I was -26.
I feel great, but I am having a craving for chocolate lately. I mean I really really want it and it's not like cravings that I got presurgery...it's really intense. I have not given in to temptation, but I am feeling weak and I don't know what I should do? Should I have a little? Should I keep denying my craving? Is there an alternative? I tried sugar free chocolate pudding and that didn't quite cut it I am not seeking permission to go get some chocolate I just need some guidance and support fromothers who have dealt with this before. I just got my period yesterday and I know that has something to do with it, but I really don't know what to do with this. I don't want to mess anything up this soon after surgery. Please help! Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks
Hugs,
Sara
Hi Sara, Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I have been really busy at home/work. Haven't been to the board as often.
Just wondering how you handled your chocolate craving. Did you find an alternative to eating the chocolate? Did you have the chocolate? Etc. etc. ~~ Are you happy with the way you handled it... etc.
Hope everything else is going well for you.

Hi Sharon,
I did have chocolate. I had a kit kat which was a favorite of mine before surgery and it was so worth it. I ate it and then my craving was gone and I was more than satisfied and the best part is I haven't had any chocolate or chocolate cravings since!!! I am so happy that I had this surgery because beforehand I would have eaten a whole bag of kit kats especially with all the Halloween candy out in the stores.
Oh and today I went to the grocery store and I found Q-Smart bars which are really yummy and only 1 gram of sugar I heard about them on the main message board and I will not make them an everyday part of my diet, but if I have a need for a treat they really are good
Hugs,
Sara
