Gross but need answer

I was instructed to give my self an enema before surgery. do i have to? Is this the norm i havent eaten since 4 am monday morning and surgery is tuesday at 130 just finished drinking the nitrate whatever. any help would be appreciated in this.

I didn't have to have one. My only instruction was no food or drink after midnight. If you were told to do it though, I'd go ahead...it might help you out later. Good luck with your surgery!

Hi Duane, If you can do it you should. There shouldn't be much left in you to clean out anyway so it should not be too uncomfortable. You can do this Duane.
