Hospital stay length???

I am having open VGB on tuesday just wondering how long some of you were in the hospital. Sharon i think we have the same dr. any help with this?

I had my surgery on a Monday morning at 7:30 am. I left the hospital Thursday morning.

Hi Duane, You must be getting so excited! I'm excited for you. Life will change so fast for the better for you. It's a very exciting time. The 1st year is a whirlwind. Can't wait to see what year 2 brings. I had surgery on a Wednesday afternoon and left the hospital on Sunday mornings checkout (I think it was 11:00 a.m.). I had the choice of leaving the day before but chose to stay. So if you have surgery on Tuesday I would think you will be out of the hospital on Friday or Saturday. I was in the hospital from Tuesday through Friday.
