Help
One thing that helps me is keeping fresh strawberries, cantalope, and grapes in a big bowl in the fridge. I like it with the new Ultra low carb yogurt and it really helps my cravings. If I give in a eat just a little chocolate, I find I want all the chocolate and more. I just have to not have it around at all. Good Luck!
I agree with Janna --
You need to find something that is "relatively healthy" for you that curbs your craving. Whether it is fruit or yogurt or chocolate milk or toast & jelly. I go through "stages" where it is always chocolate milk; then I get to a point where I can't stand chocolate milk. When I am between "stages" is the most dangerous time for me. If I don't have a new favorite I pick something pure sugar, i.e. ice cream. The best advice that I could give you would to be "prepared" ahead of time. Have whatever it is that will satisfy your cravings on hand so that you do not make "poor" choices.
The other thing that I have been thinking about recently is that I am going to "plan" in advance when I am going to have a food "treat" so that I have something to look forward too. I don't know about the feasability of this option but I will see how it works and adjust as necessary.
I also notice a "pattern" of 'out of control' food choices around my monthly time. ~~
I think we are all in a unique position in life when it comes to eating. We are all dealing with "learning how and what to eat" all over again.
We won't be perfect and we won't figure it out over night. But each time we make an adjustment we move towards something better.
Good luck to you...
