Home from surgery. No problems, except hard to judge drinking right now. I take a sip and feel bloaded. This will pass. Was up walking day of the surgery and that made everything easier. Now it only hurts when I goet up or lay down. Also gas is a problem, I need to expell more. Any Suggestions?

no suggestions, just take it easy!!! the gas will pass, the bloating will pass, and life will get better! but the more you walk the better you feel so keep up the good work

She is right and remember we can't drink as much water as those that had RNY.

Dianne -- Can you say more about that? (Not being able to drink as much water as RNY?) That's the first I've heard that. I'm 5 weeks out and have been drinking between 60-80 oz. water/day. Am I doing something wrong? Kris

Hi Willam, Congratulations and welcome to the losing side. Walking should help with the gas. Did you have the lap procedure? I had open, so gas was`nt much of a problem. May God bless you with a speedy recovery. Janna-3 years post-op
