"Types of Surgery"

Does anyone have a comment on the best surgery for not gaining your weight back. I have been approved by my insurance but my appointment with Dr. Harberg is not until Sept.23 and I am eager to learn the differences. I read about the lap band but what about RNY (open), RNY (lap) and vbg. Thanks. Dianne Carroll

DEAR DIANE, I AM ALSO A PATIENT OF DR. HARBERG. HE IS DOING AN OPEN VBG, ON ME, TUESDAY 9-16-03. WHEN I INITIALLY CALLED AND TALKED TO MITZI, ONE OF THE LADIES THAT WORK IN DR. HARBERG`S OFFICE. I WAS TOLD HE ONLY DOES THE VBG SURGERY. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK ON THIS, WITH THEM, BECAUSE MAYBE, I GOT THE INFORMATION WRONG.
