Lose 50 lbs before the surgery

HI OH!!! I have been on and reading and reading, and I would like to thank everyone for your post that have helped me along my way thus far. I am at the beginning of my journey and I am so happy to have u all as a part of it. Today I had my first consultation with the surgeon she wants me to lose 50 lbs while on a medically supervised diet. I am so nervous what should i do. I know duh follow their instructions but......any other recommendations.....

So I went to the doctor today ad i have lost 9lbs since the post Yayyyyy me!!!

The medically supervised diet is over 6 months?

 Hi Daisy,  I just had my surgery in January and I did not have a pre op loss requirement.  I think it may have to do with previous diet history.  My cousin had to lose 50 because it was safer for the procedure she wanted.  It has been my experience that losing while hard isn't the biggest issue it keeping it off.  So the bonus for you is that you will have less to lose post op and you will not gain it back.  Keep focused and good luck.
