LAP BAND vs RNY

I am not sure what to do.  My insurance will only pay for a center of excellence surgeon.  Good and bad...bad because I live 175 miles from my surgeon.  I started this process wanting to do the Lap Band but after EXTENSIVE research about the maintenance/fills, success rates...and I am told that some insurance co's will not pay but for one fill? 

I am leaning heavily on the RNY.  My only concern is the "rearranging" of innerds from the RNY. 

Can anyone provide any help/suggestions?
