Topic: RE: In Norfolk looking for
Dr. Bolonowski at Portsmouth will do the sleeve "if it is medically indicated or if the patient insists that they want it." I'm having RNY with her. The process will be slower in the next few months as 2 of their docs are leaving - one leaving the Navy and another deploying. But I had my orientation in March and am hoping for a Mid-july early august date. I was referred to a civilian by my pcm, but Portsmouth picked me up and you will have to go with the point-of-service option if you use a civilian.
Hey, anyone know how to change the doctor listed with my name? When I first signed up, I put a diff doc because I didn't know that Portsmouth would pick me up. It's not one of the options in my profile now.

Topic: RE: Primary Care Physician?
Hi and welcome to VA. I live here in Newport News (only since Nov. 2010). I would recommend Tidewater Medical Center (Newport News Internal Medicine) on Omni Blvd. (757) 877-4221. I was actually referred to them by my WL surgeon. I also have BCBS insurance and they accept most any insurance. I see Dr. Polk and I think he is wonderful. He actually takes the time to listen and if you don't understand anything he will explain it simply. Also Congrats on 5 years out. I am going to be sleeved on June 3. I hope this helps you.

Hi Lauren! I'm hoping to have Lap-Band.
I had my first appointment with my surgeon a week ago last Friday. I really liked him. Very informative and intellegent.
