jackie..

wow its been along time since ive chatted or seen you at one of the meetings...   im glad to see your still on here.. every time i think of getting  back on track i think of you.. but  im on track now and have a awesome reason  for  it....  to love my self.   ive had a baby since ive seen you but lost all the weight within a week of having him.. i only put on 24 pounds during the pregnancy  but im  weighing the same as i did before i got pregnant..  im back at the gym.. and reallllllly trying to stop grazing.. thats what kept me from losing more weight..  dr halmi had me have a upper GI  to check to see if my pouch stretched .. and it hasnt.. so im doing it this time and your meetings would really help.... when are they?  i need to start coming back to them

have a wonderful day..

Morning all!  Tammy you & yours are in my prayers.  I am so glad to see others joining in on the post, I see you lurkers out there, come on in & post.

So I took a nice 30 minute walk at lunch time yesterday and then another 20 minutes with the dog last night.  Hoping to maybe get in a bike ride tonight.  The evening was pretty good.  Enjoyed our family dinner then watched AI.  Pretty low key.  Today is going to be a busy day.  I have court this a.m. with the "son", prayers are greatly appreciated.  He has been struggling lately, got himself into a bit of trouble and is learning the hard way how one mistake can really screw up your life.  He has been staying with us for the last week and it is highly possible he is going to come to live with us.  Work of course for the day, then home for time with hubby.  Hope you all have a great one!!

a.m. cuppas & protein are in
B - crackers & banana
S - yogurt
L - leftovers
S - granola bar
D - not sure, that is hubby's detail today

Are you drinking when you eat?  Remember...according to OUR surgeon's guidelines you should stop drinking at least 30 minutes prior to eating and do not drink anything for 45 mintues after you eat.  Reasoning...it washes the food out of your pouch leaving you feeling hungry again/  It is hard, but can be done.  I never thought I would get used to it but here I am almost 5 years post op and I still eat/drink that way.

I strongly advise taking the time to pack lunches/snacks instead of fast food.  There is NOTHING healthy served in a fast food resturant.  Even the salads are loaded with yucky stuff.  Leftovers are usually my lunch of choice or a sandwich made on the thin bread or a wrap.

I do wish you luck...getting back on track is a hard thing to do...we are ALL here for you!

Will you be at RIR for the spring race?  I am excited for another season to be underway!
I will be at RIR for both races. I will be headed up on Thrusday and leaving on Sunday. I look forward to it each year. We will be hauling folks around on the golf carts again this year.

Hello, everyone!
Congratulations, Miss Court. Prayers coming you wasy, Tam.
The weekend was pretty low-keyed, though I managed to hoe  the garden before it rained. Also sat on my porch and worked on knee exercises. On Monday I began outpatient PT with the same therapist that helped me with my right knee. It felt great getting out of the house and socializing, too. As of Monday, my new knee is 3 weeks old.
Tuesday afternoon I had an appointment to have Coumaden blood levels checked and get B-12 injection. For the rest of the day, worked on laundry, exercised new left knee and rested. Sleeping through the night has not been easy since surgery.

  B-oatmeal and hot tea

  L-Chinese

D- yogurt with fruit and whole wheat crackers
