Well I can't say that I felt that after surgery but it does sound pretty scary.  Is there anyway you can prob yourself up so that you don't feel trapped?  A recliner is great, a bunch of pillows behind your head, sleep on the couch where you can prop up better.  One thing I found after surgery that helped was wearing my binder to bed so that it didn't hurt so much when I moved and sleeping on my side with my belly kind of propped up on a pillow.  Hope it gets better for you.  Definitely check in with your doctor and see if he/she has any answers or suggestions.

I am two days post op. When I lay down to sleep I start feeling Like I'm suffocating. I feel like I can't get up and that's when I start feeling like I can't breath. Has anyone else felt this way?? I never used a CPAP or BIPAP mask, so I don't really understand why this is happening.

happy thursday!  im off today, been relatively chill.  got up at 6:30am to make sure the kids were up and getting ready for school..hopped in the shower right away (i tend to put a shower off until later on my day's off, but wanted to get up and moving this morning)

the first thing i do in the mornings is take my vitamins with 16.9oz bottle of water.  while im getting that down, i run to Wawa (have i mentioned i canNOT live without my Wawa coffee?? hehe), finish my water in the meantime and about 45 min later i start sipping on my coffee (24oz caffeinated made w/splenda and small amount half/half)

after my coffee, i drink 33.8oz more of water before i have breakfast.

today:
B- 2 eggbeaters scrambled w/ slice melted cheese on toasted sandwich thins and 1/4 canteloupe
S- 8 oz Protein Shake made w/ Vanilla Whey, Skim Milk, 1 tbs Peanut Butter and small Banana
L- 1 cup 5 leaf Salad w/ hard boiled egg, Beets (about 3-sliced) and 1/2 cup Steamed Broccoli

will probably have a Fiber Bar for snack and not sure what dinner will be (possibly spaghetti) and then try to get one more protein shake in before bed..oh and a walk

hope all is going well with you, take care of you and drink drink drink!

Good Morning!!!  Day was pretty good yesterday.  Got in a brief walk & some kick ball in the yard with the dog but not exactly what I wanted too.  By the time I left work I was exhausted and just couldn't get it done.  Read a book while the men watched hockey and then hit the bed.  Hoping for a relatively easy day today.  Boy am I ready for the weekend.

Yesterday's results:
a.m. cuppas & protein
about 48 oz of fluids
B - scrambled egg, mini bagel & yogurt
S - granola bar
L - bbq and pretzels
S - crackers
D - 1/2 c spaghetti
Was disappointed when I went for my banana for snack and realized I had forgotten to pack it

Today's plan:
a.m. cuppas & protein in
sippin on some decaf tea now
B - scrambled egg, mini bagel & yogurt
S - granola bar or banana
L - probably a wrap from subway as I really don't want bbq again
S - crackers or banana
D - undecided

Have a great one!

hi girls-

as i said in an earlier post..busy week for me, so havent been able to get online.  im still hovering between 187-189#, ive kicked up my exercising, walking 30-45 min 3 to 4 times weekly, eventually hoping to get a walk in every day, but hard with my work schedule.  ive continued and absolutely love getting my water in ..now drinking up to 130 oz/day.  how much is too much??

for awhile i was having a problem with bm's, all the protein..but now ive noticed that i have a good bm every morning if i get a protein shake in about 2 or 3 hours before bed.  so, im going to stick with what works, lol

i feel amazing, people are beginning to notice and tell me, which is a wonderful feeling!

keep up the great work, take care of you and drink drink drink!

-hugs-

Believe it or not I did post yesterday and our system crashed at work as I hit the submit button & I never got a chance to check to see if it went though.  Ah technology.  Monday was a crazy day with my schedule and I just couldn't get here.  It may take me a few weeks to adjust to the Monday schedule change at work.  So the first half of the day at work was very slow yesterday due to the system being down and not being able to do much of anything.  I took a few hours of leave in the afternoon to go watch the youngest's first school soccer game of the season.  They won!  Then it was home for a quiet evening with the hubby.  My stepbrother messaged me to let me know that niece/nephew #18 is on the way.  Gosh my family is huge.  Went out back & kicked the soccer ball around with the dog for a bit last night.  Was a bit too chilly to stay out long.  No big plans for today, work & home.  Need to fit in some chores & a good walk and/or bike ride.

Yesterday's food results:
cuppas & protein in
about 48 oz of fluids (not good!)
B - egg mcmuffin minus 1/2 bread
S - none
L - 3/4 cup shepards pie (ground beef, tomatoes, corn, topped with a dab of mashed potaotes) & a mini bagel
S - a few bites of pork barbeque
D - grilled pork chop (about 5 oz), salad, and a few bites of baked potato

Today's plan:
cuppas & protein in
already have 8 oz of water done
B - scrambled egg, yogurt & mini bagel
S - banana or granola bar
L - barbeque on lite bun, carrots
S - crackers or stuff from a.m. if not eaten
D - undecided

Have a great day!!!

Do you mind me asking what sort of revision you had?  From RNY to what?  Why did you decide to go for a revision?  I had RNY almost 4 years ago and lost about 100 pounds and regained about 25 pounds and have stayed steady since then...but have been considering a revision to something that'll help me get the last 60 pounds or so off and keep it off forever.

I'm just poking my nose into the VA board because I'm trying to buy a house in VA...so may be joining you all on a semi-regular basis if that goes through.

Hope you don't mind the questions.  It sounds like you're doing wonderful with your revision.
