Topic: ..starvation mode..
yep..court, you may have been right.   i have a coworker, who is also a personal trainer, so i decided to throw out the question.  what do you think??  ..i gave him my scenario.  informed him that i had wls 5 years ago.  that i was trying to lose some weight and how i was going about it.  we added up the calories of a normal day for me (ive been logging) and he said that my body is in starvation mode and thats why im not budging.  it appears that ive been getting about 800 (maybeeee 800, so not quite 800) and with the exercise ive been doing, my body is holding on to everything ive got.  no matter how much water i drink, no matter how much protein i get, im not getting enough calories to sustain myself.

he believes this is why i was hungry every 2 hours.

sooooo...he's suggesting i up my protein shakes to three times a day.  that, on top of the maybe 800 calories im already getting should bump me up to about 1000-1200 calories a day and he said i should see the weight start to drop off again.

sooooo...protein shakes here i come!

I had a DS with Dr. Elariny in 2003. Things may very well have changed since then, but feel free to PM me with questions and I will try to help.

I'm looking for a plastic surgeon to finally address all of this excess skin.  I'm 4 years out and have maintained my weight for the last two.

Have any of you had good or bad experiences with plastic surgeons in the Richmond area?  I would love to hear your stories.

Thank you!

Walmart has really had some great prices and cute ones.   Working out in the pool is a great way to get some conditioning training.   Low inpact.   I find it exilerating as well as relaxing.

court.. you covered what i need to know.. i just work out and burn sometimes 800 calories doing cardio and i give myself a 1,100 day  of calories i can consume.. but with working out that number goes up but i still stay in the 1,100 so im burning more and not losing it as fast... very confusing.. lol   im thinking about getting a trainer..  im told to drink more protein and water and it will come off.. but im drinking about 75oz of water daily now.. and i get about 75g plus of protein daily

id love to know the answer..

thank you Beth
