Hello.. I know there are many on this board with better advice than I can give.. being that I had gastric bypass and went off track badly... but 2 months ago i decided to pull my head out and make this work.. i had this surgery for a reason... i was the biggest grazer ever.. i would eat until i felt full... and not eat slowly for my brain to register my pouch is full... id eat junk food chips crackers drink diet soda.. fill my plate like i would before my surgery.. and eat until i felt full.. even though i never could finish my plate.. but i still filled my plate up... so i understand about bad eating habits... you just have to want it bad enough.. you have to WANT it to work.. you had lapband for a reason... my heaviest weight at surgery was 254.... i got down to 180 and gave up... slowly it went up to 208.... but within the last 2 months im back down to 178.. and counting... you can do this.. you just have to make healthy food choices... weigh your food... 3 small meals... protein drinks or if you get enough in your meal... have fruit or vegi as snacks... every 2 to 3 hours you can eat.. and if you drink lots of water... or crystal light... it keeps you feeling full.... and if you can excerise then do so.. it helps you sooo much.. it also helps me not want to cheat myself.. if im working out....

This is my first post on the website and I need a little advise. I have the lapband and it's going on a year. I have only lost 40 pounds, I am having trouble losing more weight and changing my eating habits. Can anyone give me some advice on how to change my eating habits?

Good Afternoon! Had a fabulous evening last night. Both the girlies along with the "son" were home for then evening & no extra people. It was lots of fun and nice to have a family night. Been swamped at work again today. Next week won't be much better, ugh. I so need a break.
Weekend plans include a mani/pedi with one of my besties once I get out of work, some time with my hubby, a sleepover with the nephews and niece, and some down time on Sunday, no soccer this weekend.

hi all! welp, the weekend is just around the corner. any plans? how are you guys doing?
as i said in yesterday's post, i am off work today. ive been a busy little bee today. i dropped the kids off at school and went straight to the lab to get my blood drawn. from the time i got up (7:30 and to the time i got to the lab 8:45) i managed to drink 24.9 oz of water. i waited on my coffee for after my blood draw, but of course, i started on that right after lol. man, she left a pretty good hematoma..ugh..i always tell them to use a smaller gauge on me, but they never listen!
since then, i have run to Ross (got resistance bands and a cute top), Target and Haircuttery. i got my hair cut today! yay! wow, do i feel so much better! lol
i had a great lunch. tuna on toasted sandwich thins, moz. cheese stick and an apple.
i work tomorrow, will miss the soccer game. then sunday we have a picnic to go to in Front Royal.

My husband works for UPS and they covered mine. (Not sure if there is a UPS facility out there.) I've also read that Starbucks' insurance covers it.

hi girls!
i got off work early today and had a second to post real quick. im doing good, feeling pretty darn good and am eating and drinking fine. to be truthfully honest...i have NOT been logging my food intake this week. i have continued to drink my water as i was and still love it immensely. here's the thing, my clothes are fitting looser, i can see a difference, but the numbers on the scale are stuck at the same ...187-189#! i know, i know...ive lost inches..woo hoo...but as we all do, i want to see the numbers on the scale go down. i was back up to 12's (tight) and 14's (comfortable) ..now i am in 12's (COMFORTABLY) and 14's (LOOSE) ..i have even been able to get back in my 10's (TIGHT) ..so, yes, i see a big difference ..and i feel great...people are beginning to notice more and more...so why am i so frustrated? LOL
i go for my blood draw tomorrow, my appointment with Dr Halmi is May 28th. i am excited to go, he is also checking my thyroid level since i am hypothyroid but with no supplementation since 4 months out from wls :)

I checked in but didnt post yesterday.. i had the baby always wanting my attention every time i sat down at the computer.. awesome that you lost 2 pounds.. feels good. last night was relaxing.. watched my american idol... bummed the girl wasnt kicked off.. but its ok.. hoping Lee wins.. if anyone here watches that lol
today is my sons 12th birthday and i got him a ice cream cake.. good thing ive never really liked ice cream.. let alone in a cake... so im safe there i may have a bite but not a peice... we were going to take him out for dinner but he rather have my italian spaghetti... so thats what hes getting.. to bad i cant eat any :( i grew up on pasta, since my moms italian.. and you its so hard not to eat the pasta... when i do it hurts so bad.. so i try to stay away from pasta and rice.. they both do that to me..
i may go out shopping today and then to the gym.. i stepped on the scale this morning and i finalllllllllllly got out of the 180s... im now 179.... finally... so now i need to get busy and get out of the 170s...

B 1/2 sausage turkey link 2 table spoons of scrambled egg bite of biscuit ( codys birthday breakfast) lol
S skipping
L Salad with crab meat
S protein drink
D tiny portion of spaghetti.. mostly salad
Dessert... a bite of his cake.
i need to get the water down.... have a good day today..
