Topic: Friday On Track Check In
WooHoo, just got back from my last trip to the high school. So unless we "adopt" another child, we only have our own two girls to worry about. Boy am I ready for summer. Busy weekend here. Tonight is my hubby's niece's graduation & party, tomorrow is date night, Sunday is the last soccer game of the season & then Monday is graduation for our "son". And in between all that I need to make up about 3 hours of work.

D - eggs, bacon, & hashbrowns

B - 1/2 bagel with cream cheese

D - whatever we can grab on the way to graduation

Dawn.. first i want to say you are doing awesome.. and keep doing what your doing.. and i completely 100% understand where your coming from.. gastric bypass helps change our appearance .. but it doesnt help change our image in our mind on how we feel and look about ourselves.. i think when i finally hit my 150 pounds or lower.. ill still see the fat beth i use to be. i was skinny growing up.. until i started having kids .. and began to eat bad and like you.. i ate for comfort.. but no matter how much weight i will lose.. i never wanna be that fat beth i once was.. and it will forever be in my head.. but we have to let go of that fat person we once were.. and let us be happy with how we feel and look.. we are looking better with each day... look how far youve come... how far we have all come... compare a picture of yourself today.. from before surgery... it will put a smile on your face.. and a warm spot in your heart..... keep up the GREAT work..

so...yes, ive seen changes in my body. i am getting smaller (ive now lost a total of 9" total body), my weight is slowly going down (since March 29th, ive lost 15-18#, depending on the scale that day). ive been told that i am getting TOO skinny. TOO SKINNY?? i dont see that. i still see FAT dawn. i am so judgemental about my own appearance. i know this is my own insecurities, but how can i get away from that?? dr elliot? any insight would be greatly appreciated.

i went to work monday with a new scrub top...mind you, a MEDIUM! i was told i am shrinking away to nothing! all i see is my big ole tummy and thighs!
ive struggled with this my entire life. ive been to counseling. ive never had an eating disorder, thank god (besides eating too much, turning to food for comfort, etc), but when, if ever, will my perception of myself change??

i went to work monday with a new scrub top...mind you, a MEDIUM! i was told i am shrinking away to nothing! all i see is my big ole tummy and thighs!

good morning court.. wow graduation.. exciting.. im just glad summer break for the kids start next friday.. so i dont have to get them up and dressed and fed by a certain time lol then i can hang out at the pool and water park alot.. i need a tan.. :) i worked out for a short time yesterday.. 30 minutes on the bike at the gym.. i was going to go back in the evening.. but i got lazy.. but tonight is my spin class.. and as much as i dread going.. i love the feeling i have in myself when the short hour is over...

i need to get the water down.. its 10;30 and i havent drank any. so im going to chug..

Okay so no exercise yesterday, ended up getting home late because fo a last minute errand and then helped my "son" with his biology exam. We are done with school work, graduation practice tomorrow & then graduation on Monday! Woohoo!!!!

I'm in Yorktown. I do not think Dr. Clark does the sleeve (or his partner). They didn't when I went to a seminar there, but that was back in 2008. I traveled to Duke (about 3 hours) for the DS with Dr. Sudan. It has the sleeve stomach, but an intestinal switch as well. Have you considered this? There is an excellent DS surgeon in PA (Dr. Peters) who has a decent self-pay rate. He may do sleeves as well. His contact info should be at www.dsfacts.com.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I see two of you recommended the same doctor. DId she do any work for you? or a friend? was the results good? So you never heard of Dr. Gamper UVA or his work?
Anyway I hope I am not asking to many questions but I want to hear from people who have had work done or know about them. Any info. you would like to share will be so appreciated.

thank you so much for the name and I will look into this. Congrats on your tummy tuck, I amsue everything went great and no complications. You deserve it, be proud. Did insurance help with it? Does the consult cost much if insurance doesn't pay? Anything you wish to share I would greatly aprpeciated it. Thanks and you enjoy that new body!

glad to see you.. it seems the few that posted their daily on tracks have alll been alittle MIA including myself.. but I too need this.. it helps me stick to my routine.. and reminds me every day.. why im doing this.. last night i was trying to talk myself out of going to spin class.. i love when the hour class is over i feel soooo good about myself but i dread when it starts cuz its a long hour.. lol but i weighed myself today and im down to 177. today I got up.. went to the gym already and went grocery shoppin..
tomorrow is another spin class.. my husband has been gone for 2 weeks and he comes home monday.. im hoping to be 175 when he gets home lol
no coffee today
B 100 calorie bagel with sugar free jelly.. 10 calories in jelly
s skipped
L turkey subway sandwich no cheese.. no dressing 280 calorie..
S protein drink
D alittle spaghetti but since i cant tolerate pasta i may have a slim fast meal
i need to drink more water.. havent gotten down alot today.
