OK..so you have skinny arms with wings. Although I don't like my thighs or the extra skin on my belly, I developed a mantra. When I look in the mirror or down at my belly and thighs and see extra skin, I say "I may have saggy parts, but now I have a healthy heart".
Although I hated being obese, the reason I changed my life through gastric bypass were health reasons. I was 5'4" 262 lbs, diabetic, high bp, high cholesterol.
We need to learn to shut off the voices in our head ( and sometimes those 'well meaning' people) that make us insecure. I would see a counselor.

Hi ya Jen!
It's ok to still have issues with meat. Sometimes I still do too. The best method for me to be able to eat meat is to cook it in a Crock Pot. Chicken, pork or beef. All come out tasy and tender.
As for your weight loss...don't beat yourself up. You are doing very well.
Are you taking your vitamin/mineral suppliments? Drinking lots of water/ Crystal Lite?
Getting in your protein (even in shake form) ? Excercising?--I like to walk alot.
Post on your account blog, what you are doing. Set mini goals.
Hey..we didn't gain weight overnight. It won't come off overnight either.
Who was your surgeon? I had Dr. Kevan Mann at Portsmouth Naval. Wonderful care.
Have a great day!

If you go to lapband.com and type in your new zip code under "Find a Surgeon," you will get a list of qualified Lap-Band surgeons in your area. Look for the small symbol that denotes "Accepts Out of Town Patients," which identifies those of us who are happy to follow patients who have had their bands placed in other areas of the U.S. Make sure, before you leave your present location, that you get copies of your original Operation Report and any band-fill notes to help your new surgeon know how best to keep your band "running smoothly."
Good luck with your move!

Dr Moazzez did your Sleeve? I was told only Halmi does the revisions. I really like Moazzez.
I have an appointment with him on July 7th

I am in the same situation. I have a 4cc band - that filled to the max -- I have restriction -- and can't eat much at one time --- sounds good eh? well no, becasue the restriction only lasts 2 hrs and then I am hungry -- too hungry -- so when hungrry what do I do...., bottom line - I did not get the band to be hungry.
plus, when I eat - it hurts -- not like a "stuck" hurt - rather as the food is going down my esophagus is hurts. Getting stuck (which is so unpredictable) is another issue all together
I'd like to get a revision from band to sleeve -- now that AETNA covers the sleeve
doc appt is July 7th -- hope to get upper GI prior so I can see if I have a mecanical band failiure
my weight loss? -- so/so -- but still need to loose another 100 - and after 3 yrs (90%) of weight lost the 1st year I doubt the band will do it for me

Topic: RE: 5 day pouch test
I have used the 5DPT and found it very useful. I wasn't really trying to determine if pouch had stretched - most folks use it as a good diet to get back on track. it replicates the gradual increases in food types after surgery; liquid, soft protein to regular protein. What I found it that it puts you back in touch with your pouch. I was not really feeling the fullness because I was eating too much "slider foods." BY the last day of the diet you really feel that fullness you felt after surgery. And the receipes in the book are very good. So I recommend you give it a try.
