Hi.First, don't panic. Your nutritionist will provide you with a list of things that you will need post-surgery. Step 1 is always clear liquids,such as broths,jello ect. Step 2 is creamed or blended soft foods, cream of wheat, creamy soups and so on.Different doctors have different steps and food requirements. Yours will let you know. As far as protein powders go, I personally think Unjury from Unjury.com is by far the best tasting, they will send you free samples.Good Luck,Pam

Topic: Approval!!!!!

I just had a voicemail from my surgeon's office saying I got insurance approval!!!! I am so stoked! I'm waiting for a call back to schedule the date! It almost seems like things are coming too easily (just turned in my last paper work last Monday), but maybe that is because this is the right path and the right time!

Hi. I went to a Seminar hosted by Dr. Erdmann. He works along with Duke Weight Loss. He showed some slides with great results. Also one of his patients came in as a guest speaker and she looked great. Worth a consultation. Hope this helps.

I saw that was today and I was kicking myself for not knowing,. I am sure I will catch it next time. Thank you for the info. I know everyone I had spoke to loved Potomac. I always say, there is always good and bad about anything you do in life. lol I love this forum.

I NEED SOME HELP ON WHAT PRODUCTS TO GET FOR THE FIRST COUPLE OF WEEKS.PROTEIN DRINK AND WHAT TO EAT PUDDING OR JELLO.WHAT SIZE OR HOW MUCH.
I FINISHED ALL MY APPOINTMENTS BUT STILL A LITTLE BIT CONFUSED.I SEE ALOT OF POST OP DRINKING DIFFERENT PROTEIN AND SAYING THEY ARE NOT GETTING ENOUGH IN.

I went to the Expo today and asked one of the surgeons and the nurse who is in charge of the Bariatric Unit, both assured me that the anesthesiologists were very well versed in working with bariatric patients.

I also met several patients who had WONDERFUL experiences at Potomac! I am not at all worried! The bariatric floor was interesting. Their beds are specially designed for bariatric patients and can morph into a chair!
